Placing my second order from Tasty Vapor sometime this week and this time I'm going to go with a Doubler in addition to my 1 oz liquid. Mostly because my one ounce juice didn't last me as long as I'd expected (funny story actually, its because I kept flooding my atty when I wasn't paying attention.. so much wasted juice) and it just seems like a much cheaper way to vape.

I'm planning to buy 48mg Kretek and then a Kretek doubler so that I can mix it down to 24mg. I just have a few questions I wanna make sure I understand before I order.

First of all, the ratio of nicotine:doubler for 48 down to 24 is 1:1 correct?

Second, how do I deal with the VG/PG mix with doublers+nicotine liquids? I was thinking I should just buy them pure PG and then grab a bottle of VG. And if I did buy a bottle of VG, how would I know the percentage I'm adding to my juice?

And finally, is there anything I should do after mixing my juice? Maybe let it sit for a bit? Any tricks to increase the quality of the final product are always nice.

To mix 48 down to 24 it would be a 1:1 mixture, correct.

Just order the VG/PG mix you want in the liquid and doubler, if you add any extra VG you will dilute the flavor.

Most people find that letting the juice "steep" with the cap open for a couple of days to a week will enhance the flavor. If you start vaping something from TV right after you get it and it doesn't taste right, set it aside with the top open for a week and try it again.

What about mixing the 48 all pg nic juice with an equal amount of vg?
That would still bring the 48 down to 24 and it seems from what I have read that vg does a good job of holding flavor.
My son is wanting to try egics and can't afford all the doublers to mix down with but vg is very cheap and could possibly double the mix. He just ordered TV menthol at 48 today.
Any thoughts on that?
Thanks

Judybr,
you would lose all your flavor that way. If you don't use a doubler to keep the same flavor you'll end up with very tasteless Juice.! Thats the whole idea behind the doublers.
if he can't afford both at the same time then I would just order the 1oz at the 24mg.

Thanks for the response.
I will pass that on to him, he has already made his order and it shipped so he will have to at least bring it down some with the vg I guess, just not as much as he had hoped. Or maybe he can actually find some tobacco flavors locally he can add to bring the flavor back up.
Thanks!

If you are buying 48mg e-liquid, the most VG you can get is 10%. So, if you get extra VG in your doubler, it will average out (just like the nicotine does.) You are mixing 1:1 so if your e-liquid is 10% VG and your doubler is:
20%, your mix will be 15% (10 + 20 = 30/2)
30%, your mix will be 20% (10 + 30 = 40/2)
40%, your mix will be 25%
50%, your mix will be 30%

If you can, let the liquids sit for as much as a week before you play with them. Then shake them like a lunatic and pour them into the bottle you are putting the mixture in. Shake well before using.

Still trying to understand all about this vaping!! LOL So, if I choose to order my liquid/doubler with a percentage of VG, then it will not have as much flavor as if I ordered straight PG? I thought if I ordered straight PG the throat hit would be too strong and I would not have much vapor?
Some people like 100% PG or 100% VG. (Some people are allergic to PG as well.) But most people prefer a mix. VG is a little thicker and it produces a bit more vapor. It's also a little sweeter than PG. PG, on the other hand, ferries the flavor to your mouth and the throat hit a little better.

It's really a question of playing around to find the best level for you. Most people find around 20% VG gives you the best qualities of each. (I'm currently leaning toward 25-30% VG but I like 15% as a minimum.)

Thanks so much for the information! I have been trying to place an order with TV for at least a week now! LOL So much to learn just to place a basic order. I ordered a bunch of juice from some other companies and really don't like it, so I don't want to make that mistake again. It just seems as though they have no flavor. They are 50 VG/50 PG.

It could just be that they have no flavor. Also, don't forget that your taste buds are going to evolve now that you've given up tobacco.

My first TV order I did 48mg + doubler (they only had 4 oz doublers eight months ago) of a few flavors. That was a mistake because I ended up with 5 oz of one flavor that I disliked. If you vape at any of the nicotine levels TV has (12, 24, 36 or 48) I'd suggest just getting the e-liquid the first time. When you reorder your favorites, you can get it stronger with a matching doubler to save money.

And this week you can buy 3 ounces of e-liquid for $20, 6 ounces for $40...

ETA: And, if you do order a flavor you don't like, chances are that it's someone else's favorite. You can sell it at a slight discount or use it for swapping samples.
