I went through a period like that where I tried Swedish snus and smoked a couple pack of cigarettes. The inconvenience of maintaining my gear and stuff got to me and I wanted something lower maintenance. I found that nothing is quite as good as vaping as far as how go get my nic fix. Came back to it with a new set of eyes once I saw what my gums were starting to look like. The effort of vaping is worth it and fun, but sometimes I get burnt out on even the good things in life lol. Just try to get back into it casually and hopefully it'll catch back on for you.

Yeah I get you mate somtimes the inconsistency of having to rebuild coils flooding tanks and inconsistent vapour just got too me especially when you just want to pick up your device and Vape with a cigarette I light it and it's the same throughout smoke after smoke and maybe about three months to how long I've not vaped so what's the new big thing then not trawled through ecf in a while and havnt kept up to date

I'm the first one to agree that smoking was easier all the way around. Smoked the same brand forever. I would suggest you start having fun with DIY. Mixing your own flavors can be very rewarding. Or if you are not interested in DIY'ing, find some juices that make you tastebuds happy. I think the flavors are what keep me vaping. I haven't forgotten how bad my last cigarette tasted and I hope I never do.

You have definitely come to the right place as far as getting help and support. The people around here all care so much. Join in on some of the threads here and get to know some of the wonderful ecf family.

Good luck to you and I look forward to reading about your future successes. :)

Kinda funny, cuz I was just asking the same question when I got back into it after about three months off, just came back about two or three months ago. Seems like now everyone is about Kayfuns, so that's what I got as my "ultimate (for now) setup." Got me a Kayfun and a Provari and I can pretty much say that this beats the 5K worth of stuff I had before. If you're looking for the best "all around" setup then that's what I recommend; a Provari and Kayfun Lite Plus (second batch/V2). I build regular micro coils about every two to four days and rewick the cotton every day or two and I'm pretty happy with it. Very low maintenance setup with amazing vape quality, really hard to mess up.

What would motivate YOU? Money?? You will save it--pretty much even if you have to buy some new stuff. Health? You definitely will feel better and be able to do more walking/exercising/living if you vape vs smoke and you are likely to be alive longer. Dating? Lots of folks will not even date anyone who smokes, but if you do date (or even if you are married) think about how you smell to non-smoker and how awful those kisses taste. All in all there are a lot of benefits to vaping vs smoking. Make a list of things you recall as positives from the last time you vaped. Then make a list of the benefits (??) of smoking and see which is longer. For me, personally, the thing that keeps me vaping is the taste and smell of juice. LOVE it that my house smells like vanilla (mostly) vs stale cigs, and so do I.

I haven't been through it with vaping, but I have with other things (diet, exercise). It is always harder to restart than it is to start something. Like someone already said, it doesn't have to be all or nothing. Smoke some if you have to to get through, but vape some too. Hopefully soon you will be back into vaping full time.

I really like the recommendation to buy something new. A shiny new toy to play with would be the best incentive of all for me.

Well if you want motivation to get back to vaping just try something new from what you usually did. If you had a mech mod, try getting a VV/VW mod. Try looking at unique mods, like an e-pipe or a wooden mod. Try new flavours out. You will have your ups and downs, just like with any addiction you are trying to break. The important thing is to keep it fresh and exciting like the first period you started vaping :D

My motivation:

1. Determined, even though I started with disposables and several kr808d1 batts (still have, they come in handy sometimes). I also moved to non-smoking building, so became a bit of a hermit over the past couple months.

2. The forum. Constantly on here and YouTube. Laundry begone, my routines were busted, but I wasn't smoking. My TiVo with expander was up to 90% full, and I still sought out the comradery of like souls. New obsession. Plus, it tastes good.

3. I still get occasional urges, I'm down to 3mg (6 at the most), and mainly 0 mg. but picking up even a very sweet 0mg ejuice, and chugging that evod, gets the urge to go away. It's you and your decision. For me, smoking was habit, which is why my routines went out the door (I wasn't expecting that). The first few months are like flailing to find yourself again.

4. It gets better with time (and pizza). Be prepared to get this as a hobby, and develop some others. It's amazing what you can do when you don't have to chase the smoke.

Wad a bandanna in your mouth, put a clothespin on your nose and jog abound the block. Now you know how your lungs will feel down the road if you don't stop smoking.

Everybody on here is rooting for you to get back to vaping, if you want to let 26,000 of your closest friends down, keep right on smoking.

(ETA I'm assuming you wanted hard core motivation so if not, please disregard the above and buy yourself a shiny new toy and rockin' new juice. :) )

I am always re-inspired by coming back here to ECF, catching up on people's stories of their successes, and about the things that they are excited about. There has been so much innovation and improvement in the gear the last several years. Check out the new 'hot' items, and find something new to try out. As others have mentioned, don't put pressure on yourself - just try to get back into vaping at least some of the time, and let it happen on its own time. Good luck!
