Did you leave them out overnight with the caps off? The chemical taste usually means they need some time with some air..

Morning, folks!

No, I haven't breathed (is that even a word?) them yet. I'll give that a try now. Saw a RipTrippers vid recently that said if you breathe a juice for more than 2 hours, you're destroying the nic and the flavor. Have you had good results with 24 hours?

Received some 70%VG/30% H2O just to try it. Needs to steep some more, but initial results are great. It is a very mild vape with no throat hit at all( which I like), and the flavor is comparable to juice with PG. I did get it with 5 flavor shots. Great plumes of vapor. Have 1 tank I've been vaping with aspire coil and it has not gunked up yet after one week. Need further tests on that though. Hopefully this will help my throat and sinus problems. Have not tried any dark juice, just sweet cream, peanut butter, and butter pecan. Just a FYI.--Hawk-- :thumb:

Not sure if this is the right thread for me, if not, please direct me. :)

I have a question about a few MBV flavors. Specifically, Rob, Sweet Cherry Bomb, and Suckerpunch. I have a bunch of MBV and really like them (oh my god Hawk Sauce and Ecto Cooler). But I have these three juices and they are just nasty, nasty, nasty. Not just subjective flavor nasty, but tastes like chemicals or an oil spill in your mouth nasty. Did something go wrong?

Sucker Punch 80/20 Born on 1/19/14 extra shots 0
Rob Max VG Born on 2/17/14 extra shots 1
Sweet Cherry Bomb Max VG Born on 2/17/14 extra shots 1

I've also given these a couple of hours of good vibrations in the ultrasonic. Tasted like better steeped chemical accident after.

Any thoughts?

Rob is a strange juice, don't know about the others though but it took about a month for me to kind of like it. It'll probably go in my "I can't taste anything so I'll vape this" bag.

Thanks for letting me know what flavors that I should in glass not plastic. "macaroni it's all your fault". And I wouldn't call it a sickness it's a madness to spend more $$ on glassware now.

Just to help you spend a little bit more of your money  these are the tanks that I use ... they are pretty user friendly, and reasonably priced .... I've converted to all glass tanks so I don't have to worry if my current juice is a tank cracker or not.

Rip Trippers is full of...He has a know it all mindset when he in fact knows very little IMO.

How crisp is your juice....lolol

24 hours is really only necessary if you get an alcohol taste.

That's nonsense.

I aerate my MBV & DIY overnight + a few waking hours.

I give them all 4-8 hours in the ultrasonic and let them steep for a week in the dark with caps on.

Peanut butter is in my top 5 MBV juices.

I get mine at 80/20 +1 or 65/35 +2

I'd assume you all have multiple backup tanks filled with your morning
Vape and daily vape?
I just happen to keep at least 4 clearos with different flavors in them so that I can switch up throughout the day. I've heard that vaping more than one flavor in a day helps keep away vaper's tongue, but I don't know if it is true. I just know I like to change it up.
Wow nice little collection. I only have two Evods and. PT 2 Mini on the way. Wish I had a few more glass tanks on standby. Haha. It def. is a new habit that is for sure but it is way more fun.
It's only a matter of time before you add to your collection :D Resistance is futile :toast:

Sweet Cherry Bomb took at least a month to steep for me, even with the ultrasonic treatment. For me, Rob is a "lime mixed with something else indescribable" kind of flavor. I have no idea what the other flavor(s) might be, but it is a little soapy/perfumish.
On my first order I have gotten Blood Orange, also tried it out in plastic with no cracking so far. But will take your advise.
I contacted MBV about Blood Orange (I was looking for orange vapes for someone else), and that's what they told me :)

I have to agree with others posting here...I don't believe that all of the alcohol will evaporate from the flavoring in only 2 hours, and I certainly don't believe that you significantly degrade the nic by exposing it to air for only 2 hours. I do generally take the caps and tops off a new bottle for 24 hours, and my experience is that helps the flavor immensely. :2c:

Oh yeah....and good Sunday afternoon MBV! :D

Do you guys think running your ejuice over warm tap water will help the steep process?

Im gonna try this when I get my next bottle;
-Shake
-Run over warm water
-Shake
-Let my bottle sit out with the cap and nipple off for around 24 hours
-Shake
-Then put it in a drawer and let it steep
-Shake a few times a day and let it continue to steep for a few days to a week and try.

I used the hottish-warm water bath method before I got an UC.
Soak the juices in hot water (refreshed to keep it uncomfortable to soak in) for a couple of hours.
Kurt (ecf's resident chemist) says reasonably hot water won't degrade nicotine.

If you're only doing a few juices you can (carefully) peel the labels off for the soak, used colored elastics for identification and reapply the labels after.

spot-on for the aeration & steep methods :thumb:

Dumb question. We have been happily vaping MBV juices since around October 2013, using cigalikes, either 80pg/20vg or 65pg/35vg, 18 mg. nicotine, no flavor shots. I just got us a couple of Kanger Evod clones yesterday, and noticed that the flavors seem to be muted quite a lot. My daughter has some Albino Drake, 65/35, 18 mg. that is a light flavor in the cigalike, barely there in the new unit. I had just opened a bottle of Cheesecake the day before the new units came, 65/35, 18 mg. Nice flavor in the cigalike, very, very muted in the new unit - I still had some in the cigalike carto so I did a puff by puff comparison - big difference in flavor. Both flavors had plenty of steeping time. Cheesecake was born on 1/20/14. Anybody have any suggestions about what to do besides flavor shots? Should we change up on the pg/vg ratio and/or the nicotine level? Any suggestions would be more than welcome. We are also getting used to the manual vs automatic battery thing, but that should not mute the flavor, should it? Thanks for any help.

Firstly, Good Mornin MVPeeps. Now dat the formalities is outa da way ...

Kinda depends on ifn you like da crunchy type or da creamy ... I'm thinkin creamy cuz crunchy would be kinda hard to vape so in dat case, yeah, it tastes like PB ... only it doesn't stick to the roof of your mouth. There been some here that even throw in a bit of Grape but I call that just plain sillyness ... lessen you like PBJ's, then maybe so.:p

KimberUltra2 ... short answer ... yes. :)

Longer answer ... multiple is kinda a relevent term, I spose ... could mean a couple but that's usually 2 or even a few which is usually at least 3 or it could be several 5-7 or a bunch which will take you to between 6 and 10 or more. Personally, I've got a gaggle which means what the heck am I doing with all of these? I've built my collection from 6 EVODs to also include 2 iClear 30's, 3 ProTank 2's, 11 ProTank 2 minis, 6 Mini Davides, a couple ARO poly's and a couple ARO pyrex. All my pyrex have some kind of juice in them. I now have the luxury of using the EVODS to sample juice (cept known tank crackers), rinse them out (sometimes even with vodka), let them dry (sometimes) and try another juice but then if you don't rinse the tank out and add another flavor, you run the risk of stumbling on a combination you don't want to put down.:?:

Having multiple tanks, what ever that amount is, is also more convenient ... just grab a tank and go. Now, if you hang around this site for very long, you're going to hear how good this juice or how good that juice is and unless you can excercise a lot of constraint, you're liable to end up with ... lemme see ... 73 bottles of juice. Granted, there are a few several that are duplicates 'cuz I don't want to run out and a few that I'll save for when I can't taste anything and a couple of "what was I thinking"?

Of course having more batteries or mods adds to the convenience. See where this is going? And you thought you were going to save money by quitting smoking, right? Welcome to your new habit. :vapor:

That's funny. Totally sounds like what ill end up doing. I better step it up. I only have one setup I use. I've come to really dislike the tune tank from my inferno. It's leaking all over my cup holder in my car now. Store it upside down and it leaks out the tip. Store it upside right and it floods like crazy and you get a huge amount if juice in ur mouth. Idk why it's bein a pain in the .....

I'll stick to protank mini for now. It has been flawless so far. Not even a gurgle or leak in the week I've had it

I'm using the non compatible inferno batteries with the blu 510 carts just as a backup. Makes a lot of vapor. Idk what else to do with em other than use prefills on em.

Just got my vaping gear ready for the work week. Do you guys label the tanks of what's in it, or just go for it?
I used to label everything because all of my clearos were identical. I now have some that are different colors, so it's easy enough to remember. I also used different colors of small rubber bands from the women's hair section of the drug store to identify some clearos. The rubber bands were good since you could change them out and use two colors. I would put the same colors of rubber bands on my juice bottles in case I couldn't remember what was in the clearo.

Welcome Glo :) I personally would get rid of the clearos that are muting flavors, and no the manual vs automatic battery will not make a difference in the juice flavor in this case. You could try adding a flavor shot, and a higher PG ratio juice (PG is better at carrying flavor than VG). IMO, since the clearo is at fault and not the juice, so I would change the clearo instead of the juice :2c:

Definitely get rid of the leaking tank. I get too frustrated with that kind of equipment...especially when the ProTank Mini is working so well for you. :)

I just wish I could find better use for the two nice batteries. Like a protank that uses just 510 threads and not the outer ego threads.
The regular, full size ProTank has 510 threads (and it comes with a ring to cover the eGo threads). The ProTank is wider than an eGo battery, and it makes the set up top-heavy though. It's not horrible, but it takes some getting used to....

I'm personally not a fan of the Vivi Nova (or any top coil clearo) but it might be worth trying if you're looking for something new. There is also the iclear30 if you're looking for a top coil clearo.

How does a top coil make any sense? Lol
Top coil clearos have long wicks that bring the juice up to the coil. Some people loooove them since they provide a warmer vape. It's just a preference :)

However, I have found them to be more temperamental and fiddly...and I prefer the cooler vape :2c:
