Sambuca - did you figure out the Root Beer using MBV's flavoring? I think I read somewhere (but I can't find it again) that you were having a problem with that? I order the MBV Root Beer with 3 shots and love it. I have some Lorann Root Beer flavor that I am going to try.
Right now I am doing a comparison between Lorann Lemonade and MBV(which I assume is Flavor West) Lemonade. MBV is winning - it seems to need a higher percentage for my taste than LA but, to me, the MBV tastes better than the LA version.

not really. my first root beer was a sample @ 24 mg 75pg/25vg. it was awesome! tasted like root beer candy for a week, the straight up root beer. it was my 2nd favorite vape. the next time, i ordered 50 mil @50/50 18 mg with 2 shots. no taste whatsoever. i ordered 30mil @ 18mg 75/25, again, no taste whatsoever. i DIYed FW @ 15% 50/50, nothing. did another batch @ 20% 50/50, nothing. got mad one day and threw them all together, still nothing. i day, i just added a bunch of flavor, nothing. i month later, i added a bunch of pg and some nic. now i have slight flavor.

that's where i'm at. i LOVE root beer, but can't really drink much of it, pre-diabetic. i do try organics and stevia ones, but i miss that awesome root beer i had on that first sample!

is anyone mixing:

hawksauce
butter pecan
peanut butter
sweet cream
jamaican rum
green apple
guava

thanks in advance!

I have mixed the Jamaican Rum and my wife loves it (which is the FIRST flavor she has liked other than a combo she puts together of Menthol, Black Ice, Wintergreen and some cheap Chinese store bought tobacco). I mixed it at 15% flavoring 18mg 50/50 with 5% DW (using the eJuicemeup calculator). It tastes okay to me, but not my thang.

I just purchased some juices. Hawk Juice was one I bought premade, as well as their Lemon Breezy. The flavorings I purchased were Blueberry, Thug Juice (my grandma loves the actual juice), Marshmallow (smells most authentic that I've smelled thus far) and Demon Energy. I mixed them all at 15%, which is what it recommends to start at on the bottle. Marshmallow I mixed with Peanut Butter (TFA) because I bought it for that reason. I'll report back once they've steeped.
I'm really confused about these Mt Baker flavors though. People have said that they're just repackaged Flavor West but there are flavors on the Mt Baker site that I don't see on the Flavor West one... So are some mixes just something they've created with several different FW flavors or is the rumor just a rumor? I don't care either way. Just curious in case I want to repurchase any of them.

Flavor west flavors used:

15% cinnamon roll ....yummy
17% peach tobacco .... Really good. It's the same as buying premade with 2 flavor shots.

I've got some tobacco steeping made with 4% east coast tobacco, 4% butterscotch, 3% French vanilla...

All my mixes I figure out to 65/35 ending result :).

I'm going to mix up the following tonight or in the morning:

Butterscotch @ 15%
Root beer @ 15%
Peaches n cream @ 12:3%
Vanilla butternut @ 15% (delicious when done right)

I have lots of other flavors I'm gonna experiment with soon :)

Waiting on some more flavor west flavors in the mail.

MBV used FW flavors to make some of their own recipes which they normally sell for a premium in the flavoring dept.

I tried the root beer at 15% and it was a little too strong so I diluted it down to 12% and it was too weak. Think I will go to 14% next.

I just found this thread.

Sorry to be a party pooper, y'all seem to be having so much fun ;)
Try any MBV or Flavor West flavor at 12.5% 70/30 18mg
I only found 2 that didn't work there. Maybe those flavors just suck. Dunno.
Sweet Tarts & Cranberry didn't work. I dialed the Cranberry up to 15% and it got a little better.
Sweet Tarts didn't work period. just dust.

80+ other FW/MBV flavors work for me at 18mg 70/30 and 12.5% flavor.

5 or 6 rounds in the ultrasonic and sit for a few days to a week.

I'm vaping Peanut Butter in one evod, Hawk Sauce in another and Butterscotch in another. All good at 12.5%.

Different strokes for different folks but all of the people I mix for all like my mix at 12.5%
They might taste even better at a higher or lower % but it tastes great to me and > a half dozen others @ 12.5.

I make 50/50 at 15% and that works for the 50/50 people but ^VG feels too slimy for me

:2c: YMMV and all that :)

I do know that MBV's flavored are diluted and require about 20% by volume when mixed. This is their information they gave me, fwiw. The flavor west option may be the way to go, knowing this.

They tell us different things. They told many of us they start at 10% and add 2% per shot.
Those percentages must be different in higher VG mixes so it's not quite as simple as that.

I started ordering from them at 80/20 +1, liked it and found 70/30 18mg 12.5% is just about the same.
I get my freebies at 80/20 18mg and find that light in flavor.
When I get 65/35 +2 I found that's pretty close in flavor to 80/20 +1 and my 70/30 @12.5%.

I got 555 as a freebie about a month ago and it's good and tasty at 18mg 80/20 +0

I bet it'll be real good at 12.5% 70/30 (bet you didn't see that coming) :)

Im going to be giving diy juicing a try soon and would like to replicate my girlfriends mbv guava. Its her all day vape so want to get it as close as possible. She gets 50 ml bottles with 2 flavor shots. Im planning on buying mbv's guava flavoring. Anyone know what percentage of flavoring I would need for it?

Everyone's tastes are different. I make all my mbv juices at 15% and add another percent for each flavor shot. To me, that's how's it worked out in all my tests. I use a lot of their flavors in my juices. I also buy from their flavor source, Flavor West, which is bulk sizes.

Good luck... Making your own saves a ton of money :)

Has anyone come up with a good lemonade flavor using MBV/FW?

I found I liked the MBV lemonade alone at 18% and some various fruits MBV and TFA alone at 15-18% but don't love any of them alone.
I cannot find a lemonade mix that I love and have tried strawberry, peach, and raspberry mixed at different ratios. The blends are not bad but they are not great. Note that I did cut down the flavor % when mixing - say 9% lemonade and 9% strawberry when mixed.

I have looked at and tried a multitude of recipes. I did try ethyl maltol per some recipes but that did not seem to help either. However, my bottle of mixed lemonade rejects is the best tasting of them all but still not great.

I also tried the Lorann lemonade flavor but did not care for its taste either alone or mixed.
Any suggestions for a recipe? Maybe add sweetener or sour?
I may try a mixed fruit lemonade next weekend.
