I need some advice from an experienced user, please.

I started vaping last Saturday afternoon and only smoked one cigarette since. (after 50+ years smoking more than 1 PPD) I like it so much I am vaping almost constantly, but the inside of my mouth is getting a sore feeling, kind of like when I tried pipe smoking years ago.

I have a KR808D1 for when I am out and about and 2 Kanger MT3 eGo B/C Clearomizers on Joye eGo-C Twist Variable Voltage 650mAh Batteries for use in the house. The juices I bought and am trying are Turkish, Kamul, and Fire Cured Virginia, all at 18 mg.

Am I doing something wrong or maybe just overdoing the vaping? Or is this something most who are new to vaping experience?

Thank you for the help.

Hi and Welcome :)

Def read through the link above, that can certainly be from a number of things. Some folks who quit smoking (whether or not they vape) do experience some mouth issues/sores as a symptom of quitting tobacco, restoring blood flow and expelling toxins. Also, may be dehydration - vaping is very drying. Just read through and see if you are able to narrow down where you are fitting in in the info :) Good luck and happy vaping!

You, indeed, could be detoxing. If not, and you want to keep vaping at the rate you are, you might try adding some straight pharmaceutical grade (USP) VG to your juice. You can get it off the shelf at the Walmart pharmacy or any other pharmacy or craft/bakery product stores. This will lower the strength of your juice and lower the PG ratio just in case that's causing your problem. PG is the ingredient that provides the most throat hit so that will decrease of course and you'll have more vapor with more VG which can be cooling to irritated tissue. If your juice is too thick for your atty after adding VG to it, add a few drops of distilled water for thinning.

+1 for "adding some straight pharmaceutical grade (USP) VG." You could need 18mg in the morning and lowering to 12 or even 8 as the day progresses. I have found that has helped me anyway. Something else that helped is eating something that naturally stimulates mucus membranes (chips, crackers, hard candies) to help keep your mouth moist.

I just ordered a few more juices this morning that gave the option of PG/VG ratio and nicotine strength. I selected a few at 60/40 and 40/60 in the same flavor so I could experience the difference. Maybe I stumbled on the right answer???? Thanks for the suggestion.

hello yooperdad, welcome to ECF :toast:

yepper, you probably got 'vapors mouth' most likely from dehydration

you will become 'seasoned' pretty soon and also learn about "PG" & "VG" juice blends

like most have said...

good luck :)

Haha. Your motto says it all for me!

... you have to "Learn" how to Vape, it's not smoking...
