The more I watch stuff on Youtube the more I keep hearing of mouth hits & lung hits (indoor smokers channel goes on a lot about it) Sorry to sound dumb but what is this all about?

When I vape I take my toke & inhale the smoke like I always have, so do a lot of people that vape do a "Bill Clinton" if you follow me, I am confused here as to what people are on about. Everyone I know that vapes still smokes the same way as they did with tobacco.

Anyone clear this up for me please, thanks in advance.

My understanding is that a mouth hit/inhale is like what most people do when smoking analogs - take the smoke into their mouth, remove the cigarette, and inhale, exhale.

A lung hit is like when you're taking a .... hit... you inhale the smoke directly into the lungs without it stopping anywhere. Just inhale, inhale, inhale... exhale, and probably cough.

Lung hits are better for a good substantial throat-hit feeling and usually better for making clouds.

While this is not a hard and fast rule....

Mouth-to-lung hit (traditional) is typical when vaping e-liquids that have a nic level above 3 or your tank setup does not give you the airflow required for a full lung hit.

Lung hit is just that. As you suck on your atty you are inhaling at the same time. This is the method used by many that are looking for thick vapor output and your run of the mill cloud chaser.

Now that you have the basic idea of the difference between the two methods, forget everything I just said. Its a matter of preference!

With some setups like an ego battery with a clearo/carto you are just not going to be able to do a satisfying lung hit because its not designed for that. There are some e-liquids that have too high of a nic content to allow for a full lung hit without choking even if you had the right setup (RBA/RDA/Gen. Atty/Atty tank).

I hope I have thoroughly confused you :D
