when smoking it went to mouth->lungs->out in a rather quick fashion. When vaping i changed it up a bit, at first i inhaled slower for more throat it, now i just stop inhaling after i feel it in my windpipe for maximum throat hit! going through the lungs just seems redundant at this point since i never got any desirable sensations from there anyway.

My friend thinks im nuts since hes still on analogs and tried a hit off my ecig and couldnt stop coughing after.

I also noticed i place my tongue close to where the vapor enters, and take around 3-5 second drags (12w on rsst), tasty!

Smoking, we took lung hits and exhaled. I stopped taking lung hits shortly after I started vaping. I inhale and keep it in the mouth, then I exhale through my nose. For those who do mouth hits, do you hold it in for a few seconds before exhaling so you can get more nic?

I've always drawn into my mouth then into my lungs. Sometimes, after vaping all day, the lungs just want a rest. Then I will do what you are talking about. Hold it in my mouth and then exhale through my nose and mouth at the same time. Enough nic gets into my system and I can just give my lungs a break. There are many different techniques to vaping and it is all about personal preference. But to answer your question directly, holding it in your mouth does allow the nic to absorb into your membranes.

Ha, funny thread, I'll bite. I take a double mouth hit. I pull the first into my mouth then inhale, and as i exhale through my nose i simultaneously take a second in my mouth, inhale, then blow out my mouth. Less complicated than it sounds. Sometimes I "French inhale" the second one as well and blow out my mouth.

In my greater then 45 years as a smoker, I always drew smoke directly into my lungs - and for my first two years of vaping I used the same technique. But, them I started getting pains in my lungs. I switched from mostly pg based e-liquid to mostly vg, and stopped inhaling. It seems I can get the nicotine I crave by it just being absorbed by mucous membranes of my mouth and nose, so now I leave my lungs out of it. After almost 5 decades of abuse, they can use the rest.
