When I quit smoking and started vaping I did have some weird sores for a week or two then they cleared up, could be anything possible even an allergy to a specific flavor??
Maybe.. Or maybe pg.. I'm not sure. I'm trying a high vg juice now with a new flavor but I'm not getting any better. Il give it some time and see what happens , and il be vaping different flavors

I got alot more canker sores since I started vaping but I figured it might have more to do with me drinking alot
of acidic stuff (orange juice, cola, energy drinks..) and not enough water. It's no secret that it dehydrates but to
me it's not even as bad as when I smoked analogs so I don't drink more water...

Maybe that's why you got sores.. I know I'm very sensitive to acidic things, I eat one apple and get a canker sore..
I never got them when I smoked.. Maybe one every couple of months but never like this. And I'm not sensitive to acidic stuff. I hope it's just phase cuz if it does not pass I don't know what would be better this or analogues again

Hello welcome to ecf, I'll try to offer some information that may be helpful.

Many have this problem, many don't. If you do, it can be really bad in the beginning, very painful I've been there, and then it passes.

Yes many do get it and I myself.. It does pass but can reoccure. The first few times are bad outbreaks. Drinking some water regularly is very helpful for rinsing the juice components off your mouth.

I have two theories.

I haven't quite identified what causes an outbreak but its something. Right now i think that it is nicotine related meaning the brand of nic. There's different processing methods and some leave chemicals that cause the outbreaks. Also could be a flavoring.

It also has to do with the environment change in the mouth from the vapor. Pg drys the membranes, vg super hydrates them.

My environment theory.

Your environment dictates what ratio of Pg/vg will be best. Also the individuals body. In a dry climate you want the vg ratio to be higher to balance the dry air . In a humid climate you want more Pg to balance the humidity.

Too much dry and your throats dry, too much moisture and your too wet.

In Egypt, if its arid, I would go as high vg as you can get. It will take time for the sore outbreak to heal possibly over a week up to two.

Whatever I'm doing now I've been clear for a long time. Vaping 3 years now.

Good luck.

You mention switching from Boba's Bounty (High VG) to Halo (Tribeca, in particular) and having problems... I went through the same process, only backwards, and it was Halo's PG-heavy juices that turned a bearable PG-allergy to unbearable, with a raw throat and mouth. I've been vaping max-VG ever since. I've been DIYing for the last 2+ years b/c I like to vape VG and though I have a few vendors whom I like, the savings through DIY is too huge to pass up.

Along with the other suggestions in the thread, try to obtain max-VG juices if possible. If not, it may be easier for you to obtain VG and flavorings. DIY is fairly simple.

Good luck. I remember that period in my vaping career: it was not pleasant at all.
