Stopped smoking normal smokes 4 weeks ago thanks to this wonder you call vaping.

However, I initially went onto 24mg nicotine and reckon it was a bit strong.

I got a really painful ulcer in the soft palet in my mouth at the back, its not sore now and is healing, and I read this was normal.

But in the mornings, I get a really productive cough and what looks like tar comes out - is this the nasty cigarette stuff coming out?

cheers

I have to say I feel more energised and breathe much better especially when spending quality time with the good lady....ahem.... anyway.

Been smoking since the age of 13. I quit in my early twenties for about 2 years. The first six months were the hardest. Stupidly picked it back up during a stressful time in my life.

Anyway. When I quit that time, after about 2-3-4 weeks (it's been a while) I felt WORSE than I did when I was smoking. I would have severe coughing fits that went on and on and on for about a month. Then went totally away and I started feeling much better. My sense of taste and smell came back, I could run without the coughing and wheezing catching up to me too quickly, etc.

Now this may be what you are experiencing. OR you could be having a reaction to the wicking material, the nicotine. or something else in the liquid.

Ya as some folks mentioned those can be symptoms of quitting smoking. I have quit long term a few times, this last one was the worst, was hacking and had horrible acne for about 6 months. Never has a zit in my teens...

Did the works, drank lots of water, hot baths, yadda yadda... Just glad I found the vape and don't have to go back.

Good luck and welcome.

Dude....what kind of juice are you using? What are the PG/VG ratios? I wonder if it is extreme sensitivity to PG or VG (Lots of people are sensitive to PG, but I can't use anything about 20% VG without coughing...weird). Possibly this mixed with the normal stuff that happens when you quit analogs.

What devices are you using?
