@drysprocket please elaborate as I'm interested to hear more about your experiences with different nic levels, etc.

My cuurent ADV guabana 50/50 mix with 12mg on a KT evod mod if that helps.

I'm open suggestions on nic level, watts/ohms etc and trying some new mixes, especially now my subox mini is on its way.

I know green apple 24mg on a kbox mod 0.5ohm 40watt...blew my socks off lol!

Word of advice: Don't vape 12mg on your subtank. You'll be getting a much higher volume of vapor. On the plus side, my experience is juice tastes better with less nic.

Playing with Sub ohming is actually the first time I realized this. I always did 12mg on a standard 1.8 coil at around 12W, but as satachvai says that really is too much for higher wattage. It straight up kicked my ....

So I had to go down to 6mg which killed my favorite (Space Jam Eclipse.) It just tasted wrong at 6mg compared to 12mg. The 3mg? Don't even get my started :)

But then there are other flavors that I've bought and didn't like at 12mg, where they had too much kick- but now love at 6mg. So it really does seem case by case. I can almost tell based on the bottle, and who they are marketing to, what Nic level it's intended for. Most seem to be geared toward 6mg or 3mg lately, and they actually taste better at that.

I'm actually trying to cut down to 6 Nic going forward, regardless of wattage but it's like starting from scratch in a way. I would definitely try your guabana at a 6 though and see how it feels/tastes. If you ever find you're getting the jitters the 12 may be why depending on how high your Wattage is. 12Nic at anything more than about 15 Watts makes me feel funny.

Thanks @drysprocket I'll definitely have to play around with my setup til I workout what a good balance will be.

I'm currently vaping my guabana on a 1.5 coil on 12mg nic and its lovely.

I will order a lower nic level when I place my next order with MVB and will be doing the same with the green apple.

If you get the chance to try guabana or the green apple, please let me know what you think.

I keep going back to these for my ADVs but that may change when my next lot of vapemail from nickoticket and indigo vapor arrives lol.

That's a really good point. But if you're up for an experiment, try for your favorite ADV in a drastically different setup or Nic level. I think that was the biggest shock for me- how much Nic level can matter. On fruit flavors not as much, but a tobacco or complex flavor, it's really is night and day for me.

At first they will taste very different. I was a duel user for about 6 months and most of the juice I used was 6mg. When I decided to to make the move and really stop smoking it took 18mg to get me off the smokes. All my favorite flavors tasted peppery for a awhile but after some time vaping them and getting use to 18mg juice the flavors come back through. After a few months of of vaping 18mg juice I'm down to 12mg now and really looking forward to the day when 9mg or 6mg will get the job done. My son never smoked but likes to vape. All of his juices are 0mg and no doubt all of his juices taste better than mine but the flavor still comes through on mine. When I post about a certain juice (like it or hate it) I'm comparing 12mg juice to 12mg juice and if you normally vape a certain mg of juice I think you have base on which to compare the flavors to others.

For me the biggest difference in flavor is when I order a juice that allows you to change the VG/PG ratio's or allows "flavor shots." I very rarely order Max VG juice anymore. It just mutes the flavor too much for my tastes. Given a choice I will usually get about 20% PG. I like a smoky vape but that little bit of PG really helps the flavor come though for me and I never ever order extra flavorings anymore. When I post about a juice like or dislike I usually give the ratio I ordered if it was an option.

Most of my juice is vaped from an original LEMO with a 1.00 ohm (ish) kanthal coil on a VaporShark rDNA 40 or HanaModz SS4S DNA40. On rare occasions I drip and even rarer occasions I use a Kanger Mini SubTank with Ni200 coils or Billow V2 run at 0.5 ohm's on kanthal. All kanthal coils are built using 24ga wire and vaped between 30W-35W's. I get pretty much the same flavor out of all of the devices if they are built and set up properly.

I read the juice reviews but I take all of them with a grain of salt because we all like different things hence the subjective thing that too easily got dismissed:toast:.
