Saw "Rise..." on opening night! It was way better than I expected with all of the wishy washy reviews I'd read! I really wish it had been in 3D, though. I've become quite addicted to having that added depth to my movie viewing lately. 
Ron Bennington gave it a decent review, so possibly will go see it in theatres Ms. Plantlvr...
I went and saw it this weekend. Really enjoyed it. Thought they did a great job explaining how we got to the original 'Planet of the Apes'. The gorillas, orangutans, etc. were exceptionally real looking - the actors did a great job, especially the one who played Cesar!
I'm waiting for the release of Aliens Invade the Planet of the Apes. That would be THE battle of the ages!
Now if i can just reserve a day to get to play ...yes a day lol .The theatres an hour away are in congested area of closer city so i would go to san jose and add lunch to the mix .Glad it was good ! Really want to see " the help " also as i like things set back in 50's 60's .
yep ...i think it is time for a movie marathon like when i was a teen ! we do have several discount but nice theatres in san jose .
my gfs mom says in AZ they have this theatre with a package so you can see all the nominated films ( with breaks ) over 2 days .Thats awesome and i wish they did that here but they dont !

With you Genuinefraud sir, want to check out apollo 18. At the very least should be good for a few laughs (sorry, most "scary" movies turn into to a comedy for me).

yes but arent the books always better then the movie versions ? Youll prob hate the movie if you read the book first lol
