I'm sure every newbie has a thread like this at one point or another....

Right now I'm using the Ego-T (not the twist, just the "T"...?) 1100 mah batteries with clearo's - CE4's I believe and these "mop head" one's I got from HHV's. - the only difference between the two kinds is that it seems the Mop head one's come apart and the others don't (as far as I can tell). One thing that I've read about, that I don't get with my set up, is a warm vape - I do have a love/hate relationship with the clearo's, though for the most part, it's been okay. But, the idea of warmer vape definitely interests me a lot. But I still don't full get all the ohm's and mah's stuff. But for the mop head clearo's I have, I did just order replacement heads that are 1.8 ohm's, which I'm thinking might make the vape warmer (or better?)...??

Anyway, I've been thinking about getting the Vision Spinner and I really like the idea of the Kanger Protank (though I don't think it's available yet...?) Would that be a logical next step if I'm looking for a little bit "more" without really complicating things??

Thanks, as always for any input/advice.....someday I hope to fully understand what I'm talking about!! :D

Yes some clearos are rebuildable while others are not. Also much easier to do maintenance on the rebuildable- wash and dry burn.

.
I used the Clearos but moved up to the Vision Mini Vivi Nova 2.0 ml 6 months ago and have been very happy- far superior vape and build quality. If buying the Vivi make absolutely sure they are the Vision brand- most issues with the Vivi are related to the clones/ knockoffs.

Yes the 1.8 ohms will give a warmer stronger vape but will also drain the batts slightly quicker.

I own the 1300 Spinner and LOVE it but battery life wasn't making me happy so I recently ordered a Stainless Steel Vamo VV/ VW for $30.00.
As for the Kanger ProTank I appreciate the Guru's thumbsup ( PBusardo, etc) but will wait for the retail guinea pigs to use it before buying one. The only real change with the ProTank is it's glass so acidic juices won't affect/ degrade it.

Here's a Volts/ Ohms Chart.

Edit: Understand also if using a VV PV the battery will drain quicker if using a higher voltage so the standard "100 mah= 1 hour of vaping before recharge" wouldn't apply if at a higher voltage.

If your original heads were higher ohm, say 2.4 or 2.5, you'll get a much warmer vape at 1.8 ohms with those new heads. Although a spinner can give you a warmer vape with higher ohm heads, it might be good to give the new ones a try first to see if that combination is satisfying. If it's better you may find that the 1.8 ohms combined with a 3.7 volt battery like the Kgo will be enough warmth for you. Another possibility is an inexpensive mod which runs at 3.7 volts if you are comfortable with a little thicker form factor.

The spinner will give you more flexibility but does cost a bit more and is also longer. If you look at the spinner I would recommend the 1300 mah version as it is shorter than the 1100 mah and just a hair thicker.

Good luck with those new heads - I'm using 1.6-1.8 ohms right now with a 3.7 volt mod and it's been my main vape for about a year.

You are deffinitally on the right track to a warmer vape.

I'm sure someone can explain the ohms and mahs to you better than I ever could, but what it all really comes down to is what works best for you.

I would say to get a 'warmer vape' go with the spinner or something else that is VV so that you can adjust to voltage to your desired amount. In my experience, I have gotten a warmer temperature vape with the Vivi novas, rather than a kanger t3 (only thing I think compares to the Protank that I have used). Although, I get a better flavor out of the t3's, honestly though everything is just what you prefer.

I recommend getting the spinner or something like that and maybe a t3 and a nova to try out.

Just my 2cents :)

If you are looking for a warmer vape, you definitely don't want bottom coil as in really any of the Kanger stuff. The Vivi nova would be more up your alley, or really anything with a top coil. I would suggest the Vivi because it has worked well for me, I prefer the flavor that I get from the Kangers.

Lower resistance stuff will make a huge improvement for you, I would suggest you give those 1.8 heads a try before you buy a new battery you may not want anything warmer.

Thanks so much for the help!! I've been fighting a tough adware on my pc all day, so I'm just getting back to this now! :)

Thank you - and thank you for that chart!!! One reason I was concerned about the Vivi Nova's was because some of juices coming in the mail are on the crack/melt list - that affects the Nova's as well, right? I figured I should have at least one clearo/carto that was "tough enough" for those kinds of juices. (to be honest, Cartos and tanks still confuse me! I have 3 of the Ego-T 1100 mah's so if I do go for the Spinner, I'm not too worried about the battery life, as I will have backup - and I'm 'think' either the Vivi Nova's or Kanger protank would work with both...? I will look at the Vamo too, though.

Thanks - and I will do that! I'm glad I have the 1.8 heads coming - I can't wait to try them out. And I will probably hold off on making a decision until I try those with what I have now.

Funny thing - my husband is very, very proud and happy that I've finally quit smoking and he suggested the other night that I put away the money I'm saving by not smoking so I can do something fun/nice with it. I had to explain that I'm not exactly saving money just yet.... :p

Thanks again for all the replies!!

You're welcome. I was up until 4 a.m. trying to get rid of a new Trojan- no patch for it. I'll pm you some free progs that work well. You could buy metal Tubes for the Vivi Nova.

Thank you for those!! I already use Malwarebytes, as well as Spybot but I will definitely try the others. This is the toughest adware I've ever had - aside from my hubby inadvertently installing Incredibar, which took forever to delete, between the 2 programs I use, I can usually knock out whatever it is - but this time around, only Spybot finds it, and deletes it, but it comes right back. I've found references to the ones I have but they going into these long, very technical details which are over my head. :)

I agree with Vapoor: you can't go wrong with a VAMO. And since the VAMO has a 5 amp switch, you will be able to use 1.5 ohm dual coil cartomizers which will definitely give you a warmer vape. Just set the VAMO at about 12 watts and you will see the difference and without any burning of the elquid.

Hmmm....that sounds really good and like the VAMO will be better for the long haul, not just a starter set up like I have now. I am curious about the flavor difference using something like a VAMO - right now, my go to juice is anything peppermint - but I tried Vanilla ice from Mt. Baker Vapor which I thought I'd love, but after the first hit....it definitely has this burned taste to it. I've tried it a few different times and it's just not right - I can't tell if I just don't like the juice or if it's the clearo.... (and I really want to love it!! :D )

But thanks to all for the information! :)

I had the same problem. Had to manually delete stuff in safe mode in the registry.
It's prolly embedded itself in the registry. Remove the original and it returns via a registry key.
There are # of forums whereby techies will guide you through removing stuff. Here's one. They'll ask you to run certain progs and use hijackthis to generate logs they can analyze. I had great results from them yrs ago.
Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs - Malwarebytes Forum

Edit: You could also try a System Restore. After I cleaned everything out I had to turn off System Restore and turn back on.

I've been wondering if that might be the answer - I'll give the other stuff a shot and if it's still an issue, I'll try the system restore. Thanks again for the help - this has been frustrating me all day! :) My hubby is not very pc literate and I spend a lot of time doing damage control. I trust my 13 year old on the computer more than him!! ;)

What happens is the registry is changed so you remove the obvious culprit but not the registry. As soon as you turn on the pc the hidden registry "calls home" and re-installs the spyware. Had to clean pc, turn off/ on system restore, shut down pc, disconnect from net, turn on pc in safe mode and delete registry entries.
What's the name of the malware/ spyware?

Used SpyBot yrs ago but switched to better progs.
http://www.superantispyware.com/ is a very impressive thorough prog and prolly the best of the ones I listed.
