Well, I smoked 30 years or so, 2 packs a day (40 cigs). Took me about six weeks after I started vaping to quit completely but it's been a year now since my last cig. And nobody thought I'd quit. Especially not me.
Welcome to ecf and you have found the right place to get all the help and support you can handle. I didn't think it was possible for me to quit smoking. I did both for a while and just literally got to the point where I did not even want the cigarette and just started vaping full time. I hope I never forget how bad the last cigarette I had tasted. Good luck to you and I'm glad you are here.
This is EXACTLY the way I was. I started vaping and was smoking a little on the side. Got to the point where a cig just wasn't nearly as good as my vape. My vape is so much denser and i can vape inside. 3 months now and I have no urge to smoke ever again.
When I first started vaping I quit smoking cold turkey..all the problems I was having was a withdraw but took me awhile to realize the withdraw was caffeine.. I drank 2 pots of coffee a day while smoking but vaping I didn't drink much maybe 1 cup in the morning..drinking alot of water which I never drank before..water flushes the system of nicotine & caffeine ..I could go 3 hours with cigarette fix but vaping maybe a hour before I have to sneek a hit.. I take caffeine tablets in the morning to mimic the caffeine & nic I use to love when smoking..your coffee intake will drop off that's normal ..caffeine is addictive & produces similar side effects like nicotine..drinking a lot of water can cause withdraws
It works dude you just need to try .... and figure out what you like. Look at VG additive if you aren't getting the throat hit you want. Nautilus aspire for a good tank
Yea keep it slow and steady. I started the ecig lookalike joyetech a few years back and it didnt quite work. Decided to give it another try and bought a vision spinner with a kanger evod. That helped alot. But I still craved analogs. Started lurking on here for a few weeks and bought my vamo and a protank 2 mini and havent even craved an analog since. Keep it up and you will find plenty of support here
Congrats on your decision. New vaper myself. Been off analogs now almost two months after 32 or so years smoking a pack and a half a day. First month I really wanted that cig taste but after that I've really only wanted fruity, sweet, candy, pastry flavors. I think the key for me so far has been getting enough throat / chest hit. Now that I can smell and taste again I don't really want that CIG flavor. Good luck on your vaping journey. ☺
Congrats on your decision.
This technology DOES work. I have become expert at quitting analogs.
The day I started vaping was the last time I had a smoke.
The technology seems to satisfy the 'ritual' around smoking ,at least for me.
Started with simple eGO started kit and some nic/flavored eJuice...now I'm waiting for a PROVARI mini to arrive in the mail.
The money I have saved (see banner) has already paid for it.
Best part is I no longer need any nicotine. Just vaping now for flavor and 'ritual' satisfaction.
Never in a million years thought it could be possible to quit.
Your mileage may vary....Good Luck and Keep Up Your Determined Effort.
