Im going to move to china if there is a ban on ecigs.

a place where living expenses are cheap. free trade, capital markets and the freedom to vape.

Hell, everything i wear, buy, live in (other than the house itself) is already made in China. why not?

They have fresh foods, nice ladies (trust me), and beautiful scenery not yet ruined by industry.

All ill need is a job.... maybe ill teach engrish.

yeah i was being somewhat sarcastic.... but ill play along... :)

I do not contest that industrializing china has probably wiped out all wildlife in existence in the nearby areas... but its pretty unfair to categorize the whole country based on those images.

I like travelling. I saw big differences between new jersey and... lets say florida. both very different regions, different feel and definately diff lifestyles.

but to sing the same song, I was afraid to visit the south. sorry to all the southerners... tv conveys a certain image... and i dont know anyone from there first hand to know better...

while im sharing,
washington cracks me up!... while visiting the whitehouse, I was indulged by the majestic beauty of the buildings. the landscape of the town was designed in a very unique way...
while driving, I got lost... and the nicest guy gave us directions. Im terrible with directions and no GPS at the time but the fellow took his time to make sure I knew where I was going! (you dont get that in NY)
anyway, as I was driving off, something just clicked - it was the first time i saw a black guy. when i got back to the whitehouse area, all white guys in suites....

anyway... not making a racist point. just interesting I found.
I was just passing by so i dunno what i experienced was just in my head or is there some sort of segregation in this city?

before i tell anyone else i know, id like to get some sort of clarification from locals....

Yeah, there's bad.

But there's also plenty of good.

Oh, and...

They have pandas!

China is enormous. I would definitely be willing to live there for at least a small fraction of my life. 1-3 years, no problemo.

Dude, they have a communist system. I would look into this a bit more before volunteering yourself into bondage.

Dude, that's insane. what or how can a person be motivated to speak so many languages?
with that said, this person is my hero.... he/she must have such an open mind about people in this world and their cultures because language shapes a persons thoughts.

And I had plans to open up shop to teach engrish to the chilren... or teach chinee to white westerners. which ever is cheaper :)

I don't buy the claim that a person has any appreciable proficiency in 47 different languages. He's be 47 years old assuming the rather unrealistic rate of one a year since birth. It's simply not plausible.

Also, the research shows that language does not shape thoughts or reality perception. For example, I speak Japanese, which really doesn't have a word for "blue", yet we perceive it and think of it just the same as an English speaker or anyone else.
