Like everyone else has said, the nic should be drastically reduced in a subtank. I went from an 18mg in my kanger aerotank mega to a 6mg when i got my subtank and segelei 100. Once I started dripping on mechs I went to a 3mg. Sub-ohming with a tank requires highly reduced nicotine levels to give you the same fix as a higher nic in a plus-ohm tank since the liquid is vaporized a lot quicker. And 100% VG should work fine as long as you prime and dry puff and let it sit for a few minutes. If the flavor is too muted maybe try a 90VG/10PG. Happy sub-ohming!

Sure hope you find some of these suggestions here helpful and get your little problem worked out. But I just wanted to

you to ecf. You probably already can see why it is a wonderful place to be. I know I have gotten so much help from here. And met some really fantastic people along the way also. Have fun and just make yourself at home.

Thank you

I skimmed through your post (that was a lot of text...lol) but I am willing to bet the following statement you made is you problem.....

19.2 watts is far too high on the single hole setting. That isn't enough airflow to cool the coil. If you want that tight of a draw, then you need to use it like you would a kayfun, at around 12 to 14 watts. That is also going to give you clouds like a Kayfun would. If you want to big clouds you see from rip and twisted, you are going to need to set it wide open and bump the wattage up to 26 to 28. That isn't going to work for mouth to lung though, you will need to convert to straight lung inhales. I was a M2L back in the day (in vape time that is like 6 months ago), but since the Lemo I have changed to lung inhales, don't think I could go back at this point.

There is a middle ground with the 2 hole setting, but even there M2L is difficult.

Also, I don't know if the IPV has step down, if it doesn't then using the .5Ω below 20watts is pointless.

Ah. Thank you. Very good info. I'll definitely try your suggestions.

Awesome, there is still hope. I just need some lower nic juices!

I also believe your hot vapor issue is related to airflow. I'm currently vaping 80% VG in an Aspire Atlantis, 0.5 ohm, on an SX-Mini at 35 watts. I have the airflow WIDE OPEN! It produces humongous clouds, and the vapor feels room-temperature at best. But I'm sure if I closed off the airflow it would get real hot real fast.

Cool. I'll fiddle with that too.

I had the same experience with subohm. Currently running a Kanger Aerotank with 1.8ohm dual coils and an eLeaf 30W battery, 100%VG. Gettting great clouds and flavor at 3.8V/8W, and the battery lasts me all day, sometimes into the next day. Went into a shop in Bellevue WA while traveling just to check out ejuices and maybe get a Kanger Mega and the guy was like "dude, that setup is so obsolete, we're not carrying it anymore, you need to switch to subohm, that's where it's at" and on and on. So he gave me a sampler running 0.5ohm and cranked up my eLeaf to 20W. Burned my lips and got almost no vapor, and it ran my battery down 20% after a few drags.

I just walked out shaking my head.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who had a bad experience with subtanks. Should I be worried I will be forced to switch to subs because >1ohm coils will become obsolete and unavailable?
