Hi all, I ordered some flavors from Mt. Baker. I was told in the chat with their person that these were good sweet flavors to start with. I like a lot of flavor and SWEET. Well I got them, they have been steeping for a month now, as of the 14th. I have left them open, shook them and all the things everyone told me to do while they were steeping. There is a flavor there, it is light thought. But NONE of them are sweet. Is there anything I can do to them? Or am I just stuck with a bunch of flavors that I want use? I made a list below of what I bought and what they taste like, any help will be great!! Thanks so much!!

Gwar - German Chocolate Beefcake - Only tastes like Coconut, not sweet or no chocolate taste
Mt. Baker - Salicious Strawberry - Good Strawberry taste, not sweet
Mt. Baker - Maple Pecan - Good distinct flavor of each, maple & Pecan, not sweet
Mt. Baker - Caramel Coffee - More coffee than caramel, not sweet
Mt. Baker - Banana Nut Bread - Ok, eeh, really light taste, couldn't really pick out any one flavor, not sweet
Mt. Baker - Jamaican Rum - SHOCKER here!! Taste just like sucking on a Vick's Inhaler. Did NOT expect that taste. will probably throw this one out, since I don't like menthol at all.

Please help!! I have quite a bit of money invested on a lot of juice I can't use. And also any help on future orders would be great.

there are some sweeteners you can add yourself and there is a DIY section on this forum with lot's of people doing their own mixing that can help you out. Just reply here in your thread five times and you will be free do go there :)

I have been "steeping" some MBV juice for over three months, never got better, tastes nothing like it was supposed to. I hate it. If cheap is what you are after, try Vapor World, not bad at all. I have only tried three so far and they are all vapable. They need a little steep too but in their case it actually improves the juice.

Edit: Oooops I see you HAVE been here a little while.

Firstly, I've never steeped any MBV. None of their juices have ever improved with time or anything. They're good straight out of the box.

Secondly, when you say you've been "leaving them open" like everyone said, how long were you leaving them open? I've noticed sweetness tends to go down if you aerate your e-juice too much. But that said, you shouldn't find none of these juices as "sweet". It's possible you're experiencing a form of "vaper's tongue"? The German Chocolate Beefcake is an undeniably sweet juice. Like too sweet for me.

All MtBaker is made when you order it. Let it steep for a week and the flavors will develop.

They've been steeping for a month already. Further steeping won't change them much more.

Some MBV flavors do need to steep, others don't. As they've gotten more customers they do tend to ship out their more popular flavors already pre-steeped now.

With MBV it's hit or miss, just like every other liquid manufacturer out there. I do find some of their liquids sweet though, especially the Gwar juice you mentioned. Only thing I can think of it buy a bottle of EM (ethyl maltol) from MBV (or somewhere else) and try adding that to your liquids. Do it in small batches of a ml or less and start of with just a couple of drops at a time - it's quite potent. Once you work out how much to add and what suits your taste-buds then you can mix the rest.

Apart from that, a change of supplier might be in order.

Finding an e-liquid that you like is the 'hardest' part of vaping. I'm in almost two years now and I still only like about 10% of store bought liquids. Because of that, DIY is my friend.

Thanks so much for all the help. Yes I think I got bad ones on all. And I switch juices daily and that seems to take care of my Vape tongue. Haven't had a problem since I started to switch each day. Already have my lists ready to start to DIY the way, if it's messed up, it's me and I can B*tch at no one but myself. LOL
You are all great, glad I joined. :)

Lol MBV gets so much hate, dunno why. Their juice is pretty damn good for what you're paying. I don't really like many of their "Dessert" flavors, or anything, but for basic flavors like Grape, Apple, Hawk Sauce (which in my opinion tastes like those blue Sour Straws).. I think it definitely is worth the $.

I'm a sweets person, and I've had better luck at Vista Vapors than MtBaker...

back when I was figuring things out..I still keep a Honey, Brown Sugar, Vanilla Custard and Cotton candy to add to whatever those would go with to give 'em a lil kick.

I'm 'bout done with that so using them to mix flavors..but it'll get you started

Warning anything with "honey" in it..I've been told it's rather ..er "muskish" like "ferret pee" my daughter and folks at the vape store say *lol* so I do those at home or in the car.:p well sometimes.. *lol*

15 orders from them so far and all of my juices have been top notch. The Gwar Bloodlust and Spew are super flavorful and sweet (ordered each one 12 times already no problems). I'm a big fan of sweet candy flavors as well. My ADV is their Jawbreaker Flavor, is sweet but not overly sweet. The thing with MT Baker is some flavors need extra flavor shots added, it's an option you get at the are where you pic VG/pg, nic level, size. I just got a 236ml bottle of Jawbreaker with 5 flavor shots 50/50, 6 mg and it is just as good as the first time I've ordered it.
