speaking of the mini protanks.....

i got a couple of them and love them except for one thing. the replacement coils i got (that are SUPPOSED to be universal for regular protanks as well as the mini's) look the same, but they must have some slight difference. the threaded ego adapter that goes on over the coil goes on easy with the coil the unit came with. but with the new ones, it's a struggle for me to get the threads started. it's like the new coil is just a bit taller or something, keeping the two threaded pieces from fitting right.

so am i doing something wrong or did i get the wrong coils or what???? View attachment 267041

i assumed you were using extra coils that came with the minis. dat true?

if not, tell me they ain't ft coils. (what coils are they?)

one last suggestion is to to compare coils. should the bottom pin in the 1st coil be longer than that of the 2nd, you can switch them.

one last suggestion (the sequel), ask in the other thread. more foot traffic equals more help.

Can you post a pic of both the coils, the one's you are not having issues with and the ones that you are for a side by side?

well now that i see the picture, i can definitely see a difference. the vendor i bought them from (forget who right now, not MBV) said that these coils would fit ALL protanks, regular and mini. well, i guess technically they are right....they do fit, but with a lot of cursing and manipulating and manhandling. :p

now i just need to find where to buy the right ones.

I once got coils from a local retail place. They weren't genuine kangers. They were intended for the version of evod tank that the retail place carried, which also weren't kanger. They didn't fit my Kanger either. Same problem. They looked almost identical, but were off just enough not to work right. I just buy kanger now...online.

my eyesight is a little fuzzy today. hard to see the difference.

you can always:

1) switch bottom pin

2) switch top post

that "should" make them the same (i think...)

I see they are out of stock on MBV, ask James when they are coming back in stock. If it's an emergency DV is good... I use the Evods coils in the Protanks and Protank minis with no issue, so have a taller shaft but doesn't make a difference. Yeah, yeah, "He said Shaft" :p

i think the problem is the ones i bought are labeled T3s, the replacement one in the pic. they look like they have a slightly different "profile" and won't seat far enough down to allow easy screwing on of the bottom part. i know there probably is a way to take these apart and switch out parts to make them work, but i am the wrong person to try that. i just wanna buy ones that work right out of the package. :)

Yeah, I don't think the T3's are made to be interchangeable with ProTanks and mini's. I had gotten mine from MBV, but also got a few from DV and they work great.

Kelli,

nice avi (what are you gonna do after halloween ??? Or is halloween all year round ?...I think I preferred the zombie ones to the vamps, but hey, I was into zombies before it became "cool")

I just started with the mini protanks as well....I am amazed at how well they work, besides the issue with the heads, what do you think ? I used EVODs until last week, and think that the protank blows it away !!!

yeah i really like them too, and i ordered a couple more from MBV. they have a good price on them plus the 10% discount (free plug there mr. thompson ;) )

they don't hold much juice but i am a lightweight vaper so it's just about the right amount for me for all day. i like them mostly because there is no gurgling, flooding and leaking.....which my T3's do quite a bit.

something tells me that there is no "normal everyday" kelli.....:)

so what does everyone here do for halloween? Scare the heck out of the neighborhood kids ? Give out some candy, ingest the rest ? I have 2 young kids (7 and 11), so we go all out. Last year, I was my typical "corporate zombie" (and in the days of "occupy wall street" it went over HUGE) and the kids loved it. We were on the way home from a party, I was driving home, and at a stop light, I opened the door and pretended to start falling out of the car...green skin, fake blood, and all. I wish I had my camera to take a pic of the elderly indian couple in the car next to me, their faces were priceless !!!
