Yeppers, flavorings and unflavored nic bases will be included in the 20% juice sale. We will be doing a coupon code for the sale. We will release it in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday newsletters.

Think it might be time to try my hand at a little DIY!!:toast:

Here at Mt Baker Vapor we have been following the recent studies about Cinnamon flavors very closely. At this time we do not have enough information to make a statement on the issue either way. At this time we have decided to remove any flavors that contain Cinnamon while we continue our research. Our biggest concern is our customers and their health. We will keep you all posted on this situation. Please feel free to contact at support@mtbakervapor.com if you have any comments, questions or concerns.

We would like to note, that none of our flavors were used in this study. We are just pulling these flavors as a caution. At this point in time we will not be issuing refunds for the liquids. Once we have done more research and verified the safety of these liquids we will be exploring options appropriate to the results for those who have recently purchased these liquids. Please keep an eye out for more announcements. We will make sure to keep you all posted. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Here is the list of flavors that have been pulled for the time being: Cinnamon, Cinnamon Red Hot, Cinnamon Hot Tamale, Cinnamon Roll, Cinnamon Churro, Sticky Bun, Dutch Apple Pie, Cider Fire, and Venom

And here's a link to the study!

ok.. does anyone know who's PAYING for this study? Might RJ Renolds of Phillip Morris have their wallets in this game? I can't seem to find that information anywhere.

I was trying to think of flavor combo's that do in a pinch as fill in's while those on the *ruh roh* list are on hiatus.. Allspice, nutmeg and clove are the three other spices that come to mind as similar in sense memory.. and capsicum has the heat.
There are, what I perceive as hints of nutmeg in the Bavarian cream juice and maybe the eggnog too
Clove is in the juice line up
not sure if allspice exists as a juice flavoring but I imagine I could soak some of the spice in alcohol.. muddle it up some .. soak it more then decant the particle free liquid off and use it in scant amounts as a flavor (this from someone who doesn't DIY.) anyway
Those with the fruit or bakery flavors that are bases for our favorites might fill in while the jury's out on cinnamon..
oh.. ginger might be a good one to play with too.. scant amounts tho.. it's in your face strong on it's own.

First, let me commend James and company for being proactive in this cinammon issue. Anyone who says they don't care about their customers is delusional:toast:...second...as a scientist..I have read this article, researched the authors, and can honestly say it is a biased opinion and more research needs to be done before ANY definitive conclusion can be reached regarding the effects of vaping cinammon flavored e-juice. Logically speaking...and this is MY personal opinion.....I think that rather pull all cinammon related juices...a disclaimer would suffice. Cigarettes are proven killers...and this fact has been know for years....yet the FDA has not banned them, but requires a disclaimer to be placed on their packaging noting that their use can possibly be a health hazard....just my :2c:

cocoon of lunacy
i also give kudos to MBV for being proactive, but i also am somewhat embarrassed for them. they have caved to obviously slanted data, which only opens the door to further damage. cinnamon today....mango tomorrow? i mean, where will it stop?

it just infuriates me that some trumped up study is responsible for the banning of cinnamon juice, while cigarette sales go on unabated with only a warning label. isn't there something wrong with this picture???? angry-smiley.gif

Let me just say, study or not. I want my cinnamon roll and sticky bun. One study means absolutely squat. Get back to me when they've done a few dozen from different reputable sources.

Post a warning, or a waiver to be signed.. any bakery chef has inhaled more cinnamon in a single year than most of us will in a lifetime.

Don't get me wrong. I understand why you are doing it, but this seems like a knee-jerk reaction to me. A warning would and still can suffice.

People seem to forget that if you can smell it, you are inhaling it. Think about all the incense, candles, foods, and other less savory smells you encounter every day. All of that is going into your lungs folks.

Sent from my Astromech in a galaxy far, far away. The force is with me. so is Mr. chicken.

so to me it looks as if they are looking at the effects on fetal development by pregnant women? it is only being tested on stem cells?

Lung cells too. Even so I wouldn't put to much weight into the results of any of these tests cells in a test tube react differently to cells in an actual living body.

In addition...the liquid was applied directly to the cells and not vaporized.....this is not a good methodology to use when making statements based on this that "vaping" these types of juices cause harm. These are considered skewed results as direct contact with the fluid may not yield the same results as direct contact with the vapor. Until further studies can be done to definitively provide emperical evidence for these claims....it's "just blowing smoke" so-to-speak...no pun intended....:toast:
