This might not be the right place to ask this but it seems like the right place to have a question answered by Mt Baker users and possibly employees,

On PG/VG ratios

I have been using only two ratios and have no idea why except for it was what someone else uses.

I have decided I am going to but each ratio and compare them side by side then wondered if the flavor would affect the results.

Question 1. Will the flavor, not vaping style affect the results when comparing each PG/VG ratio?

If the flavor will not affect the results I want to move on to the next step.

Question 2. Which flavor from MBV steeps the fastest?

Question 3. Does the PG/VG ratio affect the steep time?

Here is the plan.

Order all five PG/VG ratios using the same flavor in 15oz bottles then testing them side by side in identical tanks and devices after then have steeped.

I have gotten tired of having a favorite ratio when I have not bothered in all this time to compare them. I am not a high power vapor, What is in my hand right now is 50/50 at 1.5 ohm 4.1 volts.

@JJOOHHNN PG/VG ratios very dramatically effect the vaping experience.

Question 1: Flavor WILL effect the PG/VG ratio. Using extra shots, especially, will add more PG to your blend. Our flavoring contains PG, so there is a give-and-take relationship between vapor production versus flavor.

Question 2: Our GWAR Line of Premium Fluids is pre-steeped. These will taste great upon arrival. In my humble opinion, fruit flavors like Green Apple, Forestberry Fusion, and Raspberry steep the fastest.

Question 3: The PG/VG ratio may have an effect on the steep time, but it is so small, it is hard to notice. I've never noticed a difference in steep time.

Since you don't power-vape, I'd say experiment. Increasing the PG ratio to 65/35 or 80/20 will make your vape more flavorful, but the "throat hit" will be more intense. Going to 80%VG, 20%PG will satisfy your need for clouds.

Hope that helps! Overall, I'd recommend experimenting until you find your favorite vape!

I was going to try and get the experimenting done at one time by having all five ratios in the same flavor. The only thing I have ever bought 65/35, 70/30, and 50/50. I have not gone to the extreme ends or compared side by side. On flavor what I should have asked is do some flavors alter the outcome like apple being better at 50/50 and pear being better at 65/35. That comparing one flavor at all ratios might not be a reliable test.

I think it really just boils down to your personal preference. I enjoy certain flavors at max VG more than 50/50 and vice versa. You just need to find that sweet spot.

That was the answer I was looking for. You don't like all flavors best at the same ratio. I realize everyone has to find what they like.
