Thanks for the break down bro. I don't really know what's the implications for different percentage of PG/VG now since I'm using those generic ones that doesn't indicate the percentage (dk and liqua). From what I've read, using one with more PG (which i think has higher viscosity) may jam the cartos cus it cant flow through and to counter it, you may have to pierce more holes. I'll try some 70/30 and 60/40 first next and compare the difference in terms of filling all the way to vaping if I get the chance to.
Actually, VG is the more viscous of the two. It is mostly responsible for vapor production and I have found that it is less of a humectant than PG, although technically they both are. This just means they tend to pull water from whatever they touch, including you. PG carries flavor better, but this isn't always a good thing as it can cause "harsh" flavor. Many more people are allergic to PG than VG. The 50/50 mix I prefer balances the good and limits the bad, and I think it is a great starting point when available. A lot of vendors may only offer the 80/20ish ratios because they absorb well in carto filler, which is still probably the most popular delivery device. I am not sure why the Chinese tend to use 90% or more PG, perhaps it is cheaper.
