Mt Baker Vapor... Hmmm?

So I was so excited I picked up an order from Mt Baker Vapor,

I picked up, Hawk Sauce, Thug juice, Extreme Ice, Vanilla Cupcake, and Banana gone Nuts..

I'm not sure if people steep these or not. being relatively new to vaping, nothing I've had, have I needed to steep, I ADV Five Pawns, Bowden's Mate, But anyways, 4 of the 5 flavors, were so mediciny and disgusting tasting to me, I shook them before putting them into their tanks I had lined up already for them, not sure what I should do if I should steep them for a week or what? Any suggestions would be lovely.

Personally I haven't tried it and given my chemical sensitivities cheap juice is not something that interests me. Some of the other things I've read on this forum would lead me to believe their isn't much you can do. Here are a few opinions from the Gourmet Thread.

I've ordered twice. The first order was just like you describe. I let the bottles sit until a week after the date they were made, then the flavor came through. I placed my second order on the 28th. Again, arrived as you described. It arrived on the 1st. I took the caps off these bottles and let them sit overnight. That seemed to speed the process. I am vaping some of my second order now (coffee 25% and cinnamon roll 75% mixed together). The coffee is 12 nic and the cinnamon roll is 0 nic. My taste my not be as sensitive as some people's.

I'm a Mt. Baker customer, but I've never bought their juices, just their flavorings. I don't let anyone else make my juices for me. I make my own juice using Mt. Baker RY4, French vanilla, peanut butter, and brown sugar flavorings with 12mg nic. That juice is my full time vape in my mech/RBA and I love it. I make it up 100 ml at a time. It's all I need and it's a lot cheaper than what someone else makes for sale.

If you quit cigs in favor of vaping, and you are not making your own juice, all you have done financially is change the middleman.

Let them steep for a while then try them again. My daughter loves Hawk Sauce straight out of the mailbox. I like bakery and creamier flavors, and those need to steep.

Every order from MBV I've had needed a week from the day they were mixed to steep so they tasted good, cream based juice especially.
A day with no cap on helps also imo.

Pretty much all of MBV's juices need to steep. I used to rice steep them. I don't use them any more, I started using Lucky 7 instead. I changed for the price, but stayed for the quality and overall flavor of everything I've tried. It takes longer to get the order, but it is worth the wait. I'll PM you inst. for rice steeping.

Kori - I found that the old adage rings true with MBV - you buy cheap, you get cheap. Awesome customer service, but no amount of steeping ever improved their juices for me. It tasted cheap and chemically FOOB, it tasted cheap and chemically 4 weeks lter and it tasted cheap and chemically after 8 weeks of steeping. They finally met the trash can.

So - I didn't really save any money buying from them, instead, I threw away money. They use Flavor West - and I can't stomach it. I believe Lucky 7 also uses Flavor West, so I won't be trying them either.

So far their MooJuice is the only flavor I really like.
BlueMoo tho does hit the off taste you describe as do a few others. Not my first time running into this issue.
Until I read a few of your posts I couldn't put my finger on why I was having such trouble finding juices I could enjoy.

I've since placed an order with ITCvapes after hearing about their higher end flavorings but at mid range prices.
Worst case scenario I keep looking and vape the heck out of FP GrandMaster.

Cabernet- Any good suggestions on good priced and high quality flavors?

Das, my go to vendor with consistently GOOD flavors is Ahlusion. Out of 60+ flavors I've tried, 95 percent would qualify as re-order. The ones I didn't like we're profiles I don't generally like but gave them a try since I like so much of their juices.

You picked all their gross flavors IMO. I love their Strawbana, Cinnamon Roll (although I'm over cinnamon now), Morning Vape, Dutch Apple Pie (always in rotation with me), Apple Rings, Orange cream, Rainbow Roundies (if you want something really sweet), ...and I forget what else off the top of my head. Tons of them are gross though (as are similar flavors by other vendors...guess those type of flavors just aren't for me).

Oh my, lime cream, lemon cream, pineapple cream, raspberry cream, Coco berry cream, strawberry banana cream, banana cream pie, pineapple upside down cake, Blueberry vanilla cake, strawberry vanilla cake. All of these are good!

Same experience as OP.

Even after about 3 months of just sitting around (because I don't like how my juices taste), they still taste chemically and only vaguely like what it says on the bottle. I'm thinking my PG/VG ratio is to blame, maybe I have a taste sensitivity to PG because all my juices were 80/20. But when I tried a 20/80 mix from another vendor, the flavor was amazing with no chemically taste the day after it was made.

Thanks for all the information and suggestions everyone, I'm gunna give them a week and pray they get better, if not then I was out 25 bucks, hopefully not those. Sadly I've ordered from alot of different places, being new to vaping, its kinda of hard to order online and pray its something that you might like the tastes of. I personally am only able to vape like 2 different ones atm, Five Pawns - Bowden's Mate 50/50 with 12 nic, and this one from Ahola Ejuice called New Vanilla [sadly tho I picked this up on my honeymoon and have no interest in driving 4+ hours to go get more when it runs out]. I find even with my ADV [BM] I still like something different every now and then, Sadly I guess I'll have to wait and see with the MBV, and if it ends up being a waste then its on my fault. Or I might rice/speed steep them tomorrow. Who knows. </endrant>
