Sorry ValHeli...I saw your post this morning, but I didn't respond because I hadn't tried those flavors.

Uhm, no, actually Lightning is the BEST of all citrusy methol juices, but Solar Flare is pretty dang good.

Just my opinion.
I'll take Solar Flare over Lightning :)
Hmm... is Mango Tea that bad?? I like both mango and tea... but I'm worried about some mango flavors tasting like rotting fruit. I will add the Strawberry Shortcake to my order... I've tried a few before that just were not for me. I guess I can always try again. The cake part of it usually doesn't taste like cake to me... more like dried bread. Bleh. I always get so confused when there are several flavors that seem really similar. Argh... I guess I should just go ahead and order! I will never know unless I have a taste myself since taste is so subjective! Thanks everyone.
IMO, none of the MBV Teas are good :( I didn't like any of them, and they burn easily...
Btw, are their batches pretty consistent or no? Like if I ordered the same juice on 5 different occasions, would they taste the same or differ a little? I'm a big review reader and it's just kinda weird how some people are like "OMG! Da best!!" and other people think its terrible. Makes me wonder if they are vaping the same thing or if they got different batches that taste different.
I've found their batches to be consistent.
....
After vaping 100% vg for a while with 2 flavor shots, I'm thinkin of moving to 50/50. What do y'all recommend I do with the flavor shots?
I would only bump it down to one flavor shot if you're used to two...
Maybe I'll just go balls to the wall and get 5 shots on everything!! Flavor in yo face!! Or maybe not... I dunno. The idea of it being super flavorful and being able to dilute it with more PG or VG seems appealing to me. But I might regret that?

Yea as far as taste being subjective goes... everyone loves Ahlusion but I ordered from them once and I was very underwhelmed. Plus their nic base (must be that) just does NOT agree with me! Very harsh to me and this perfumey taste that didn't seem to go away even after a several month steep. Everyone else raves about them so it's just me.
I wouldn't go with 5 shots ... if you go with 3 shots, you're in the middle of the choices (more than "normal," but less than the maximum). Since you haven't tried an MBV juice yet, that might be a good place to start. :2c:

For those asking about extra shots. This is what I've noticed after 2 orders with MBV.

First order had no extra shots: Almost no taste at all for me.
2nd order had 2 extra shots: Definitely more flavor, but still lacking for me.

The juices I ordered were 65/35, 24 mg nic. Perhaps the Nic is overpowering the flavor for me. I still need that much cause I was a chain smoker. :O

Flavors I liked: Chocolate Mint, Shenanigans, Boom Choco Latte. The Sticky Buns is still buttery tasting to me after 2 weeks.

I have both Blue Moo and Moo juice - Based on my experience, I don't taste the strawberry at all in moo juice - I don't taste the blueberries in blue moo either but for me it's better tasting.

Personally, Salicious Strawberry has more strawberry taste, slight cream, my opinion. Moo Juice is more of a creamy strawberry. Love them both for different reasons.

The higher the ratio of VG in the juice will mute the flavor, PG carries flavor VG provides more vaper. I get both 50/50 and 65/35 for me personally with 50/50 I get 3 extra shots, with 65/35 I get 2 extra shots, I like my juice flavor strong.

Yeah, I imagine my lack of flavor has more to do with just starting this adventure. My taste buds after 20+ years of 2+ packs a day are probably in shock LOL

re flavor shots: i used to swear by 2-3 shots in 50/50. i dropped down to 1 for some reason, and im MUCH preferring it. it takes the buttery taste out of moo juices faster.

moo juice/salacious: moo juice has sweet cream in it, which is buttery to me at the start, but goes away with steeping. salacious is more strawberry with some other cream in it, possibly vanilla ice cream, not sure. but there's no sweet cream in it that i detect.

Does anyone usually get 20/80 mix (pg/vg)? I have rarely gone higher than 50/50 mix. Wondering if this would be better for me... I could add more flavor shots to balance the difference?

I recently tried max vg, from MBV and a few other vendors. Conclusion: i do not like max vg juices. There's a weird taste/coolness that makes it icky for me. 50/50 makes me happy.

I actually do have some 100% VG (or mostly VG) juices from the Nebbia line at Good Life Vapors. I initially thought the high VG meant it would be thick and not have any TH... boy was I wrong (about the TH). That stuff packed a wallop! Even after almost 3 weeks, it still tastes very harsh to me! I am tempted to try the higher VG though. I mean, it won't be a DRASTIC difference from 50/50 right? I kinda wish they had a 60vg/40pg ratio... that might be a better spot for me.

I am liking this thread as I find those with similar tastes to mine and getting ideas of new flavors to try.

I order all my MBV at 65pg/35vg and usually with 3 extra shots for fruit flavors and 1 or 2 extra shots for other flavors. If the flavor is too strong I then cut it with a bit of 0 nicotine pg/vg.

I don't do an all day vape but mix it up throughout the day.
For my taste the citrus are great - Freckled Lemonade and Rainbow Sherbert.
Orange Dream Bar is good for me with 1 shot.
Tried Spurberry but all I can taste is watermelon even after 6 weeks steeping and I have never like watermelon although I like other melons. Even adding other fruit flavors does not seem to cut the watermelon.
Sweet Cherry Bomb is my all time favorite and what I vape the most but it needs a month of steeping. The MBV review has a post with the progression. Plus it is a tank cracker although it took a month for the tank to go. It is now in a mini glass protank.
The Vanilla Butternut is very good at 1 shot but needed a month of steeping.
I initially like the Butterscotch ordered with 1 shot but as it aged it got too strong even for me. I now use what is left in a mix with Vanilla (another vendor) and Cinnamon.
I have not enjoyed the bakery flavors even after a month of steeping. Butter Pecan and Cinnamon Roll are just not for me although they seem to be very popular flavors.
I did try the Faux Hawk because the menthol was supposed to be very mild and it is but it is still too much menthol for me.
The only flavor that I found to be horrid by my taste was Tidal Wave.

So here's everything I have tried so far from MBV
These I will keep reordering:
Sweet Cherry Bomb
Freckled Lemonade
Rainbow Sherbet
Orange Dream Bar
Pink Champagne - if MBV doesn't bring it back I'll probably order the flavoring from Flavor West and mix my own.
Root Beer
Vanilla Butternut
Ocean Breeze - took a while to warm up to this.
Peach Rings - also good mixed with Freckled Lemonade.
Sweet Cream - a good mixer
Cinnamon - a good mixer
French Vanilla - a good mixer

These are OK but I will not reorder - most were samples:
Blackberry - ok mixed with Sweet Cream or lemonade
Black Cherry - ok mixed with Sweet Cream or lemonade - need to try it with the Swedish Lime
Butter Pecan - still trying to find something to mix it with - cinnamon didn't help
Butterscotch
Cinnamon Roll
Get Razzled - I need to try some other raspberry flavors = this wasn't it although some say it's a raspberry Sweet Cherry Bomb
Faux Hawk Sauce - cannot seem to cut the menthol flavor with anything but the other flavorings seem good
Red Cream Soda - just bland
Spurberry - maybe I'll try this with some Sweet Cream.
Surprise Grape - ok mixed with other fruits
Swedish Lime - ok as a mixer
Tidal Wave - a definite NO from me.
White Razzle Mocha - seems to be a good coffee flavor but I don't seem to like coffee flavors.

So I'm game to try some other flavors.
Any suggestions on mixing based on what is on hand?
Also any suggestions on new flavors based on what you see that I like so far? Just no menthol or mint, coffee or melon.

Many thanks and happy vaping.

LOL Westhc...I have some that I really like on both of your lists, and you have some on your lists that I don't care for at all...I'm not sure what to recommend. Whipped Cream is a good mixer...it is a light airy whipped cream flavor. Spring Break is a really good mixed fruit flavor, IMO. I also really like Key Lime, but you might not like it since Swedish Lime is on your "No" list. Blood Orange might be worth a look for you...it is a true fruit flavor, and not a candy flavor. If you order Blood Orange, add one shot to your "normal" extras since it seems you like big flavor.

I also notice you don't have any bakery flavors. I'm not a fan of them, but the most often mentioned flavors are Graham Cracker, Cinnamon Roll, and Sticky Bun.

The Moos might be worth checking out too...Moo Juice (strawberry and cream) and Blue Moo (blueberry and cream or blueberry and muffin, depending on who you listen to).

HTH :)

I will probably try the Spring Break. What has stopped me so far is the one review that says it tastes like Hawaiian Punch.
I am also thinking of trying the Dragon Fruit and Strawberry. Mixed with a bit of Sweet Cream that might be similar to ECB Dragons Blood which I like.
I did forget that I have a bit of Blood Orange and Guava left as well. I like the 2 mixed.
I find that my top flavors vary. One week it is a favorite, the next it drops down in the rotation, and then the next week back up.
This week Orange Dream Bar is going strong.
I do like the fruit flavors obviously but would like to find some favorite non-fruits. But the most recent Cinnamon Roll and Butter Pecan were not to my taste even though they are very popular flavors - and they have steeped 3 weeks now.

Spring Break might be a bit on the Hawaiian Punch side...it's also great mixed with White Wine (for a Sangria juice :)). If you don't dig it, maybe you could mix it with Freckled?
I have one friend who really likes Dragonfruit...IIRC, he says that the flavor dissipates after a month, but I've not tried that juice (or Strawberry either).
I rotate flavors as well, many of us on the MBV thread do.

Have you considered something like the Hazelnut Spread?? I pretty much stick to fruits, mints, and menthols. Solar Flare is one of my top flavors, but then again, so is Tidal Wave so take it all with a grain of salt :D
