So recently I tried few braids. Most of them were terrible because I chose bad technique.
Now I figured out the technique that works for me but I am asking.
SS is absolutely useless for me. I just taste iron from it.
I am OK with Ni80 and will try Kanthal soon but my problem is :
Braids are usually really low ohm, even the MTL ones. My perfect MTL resistance I found is .7ohm (I now use 6 wraps of Vandy vape Superfine MTL Ni80 Fused Clapton ID 2.5mm) and i am wondering. Any experience with how thin the wire should go for how many wraps?
I am using the "loop" technique where I use my middle finger and index finger on one hand and middle finger on the other hand and exchanging the outside wire between hands (as described here in the first demonstration :)
I do it 3x1 or 3x2.
