i am looking for a tiny/small MTL rda in single coil to test my liquids.

Just like a derringer or low profile from the size but with an easy to build deck.

    Any recommendations?

    thank you

I use a hadaly clone RDA for my testing. Flavour is awesome, however it's an absolute brat to install a coil using 28 gauge. Worked fine with twisted 28 gauge however ;)

Low profile only? Not much that I have. However, I do have a Nectar Nano RDA (still available on FT) might count as low profile (at least from the deck up). It is technically more of an RDTA with a nano sized tank and bottom air ... but I've used it many times as a simple tester with short wicks.

If you aren't stuck on low profile then:

18mm - Berserker MTL RDA, Etna MTL RDA
22mm - Galaxies MTL RDA, Ammit MTL RDA

I really like the Berserker, Etna, and Galaxies. I didn't get along with the Ammit and gave it away, but many do love it. There are Berserker clones for cheaper (lesser build quality, but they work fine). Most of my other MTL RDAs just don't seem available anymore.

The Cthulhu 1928 (mentioned above) is on my list, but I've not ordered one yet.

I have several different ones I use for testing my DIY's (including Hadaly's), but most of them are higher end. Of the more budget minded ones I have you might consider the Oumier Wasp Nano 22mm RDA. It came with both a standard 510 positive pin and a squonk pin, so can be used for either dripping or squonking. I have a black one on a Pico Squeeze that delivers great flavor with the build I have in it. While it is more a MTL atty than my preferred DTL vaping style wants it works well enough for the short wee hours of he night errand runs I used to take two Pico's along for. I have also used it to try out new DIY's (the RxW can easily be dry burned by the coil between flavor changes back to pristine so there is no lingering flavor, and it lasts for months).

My Nano has a low sub ohm 4mm RxW build in it, so I added an extension 'DT' to the top cap to avoid any possible spit back if I over squonked this tiny atty while driving. The other Silver Squeeze has a Solo on it. In the attached thumbnail below it has a Serpent BF RDA on it that can run single or dual coils. I like the Wasp Nano better than the other two.

I use the Gasmods GR-1, small and the flavor is excellent. My main rda’s are the Profile and Mesh pro which are both great flavor rda’s. The flavor is a little different then I get from the GR-1 but still it’s an excellent base line for my mixes.

What you should be using for testing flavors is the atty you're going to be using the juice in. Different attys are going to have different properties that will change the flavor.

In an ideal environment I agree with you wholeheartedly that using the gear it will be ran on is the path to take. But if your DIY adventures are as intense as mine was until I slowed down when I passed the 160 ADV's mark that wasn't as practical. I have a truck load of both mods and atty's, in part because when I dedicate an atty to the mod and the joose it runs that combo remains together. So any favored spare atty's still on hand only last until you can no longer buy that particular atty again. Why I buy up to 10 up front before they are gone when I find an atty I really like.

Other things being equal (the builds, the joose, vaping style, power source, etc) "different properties" in atomizers equates to the endless different fluid dynamics of different atomizers by their design. FD does play a large roll in determining the outcome of the game. But the other things mentioned above also do play a roll in flavor. Stellar FD in an atty can make a night and day difference in flavor rich vapor. Anything less than that can start to degrade them in varying degrees.

At 22 mm: I agree with the other suggestions, the Ctulhu 1928 is nice. Easy to coil, but little space to do it in so spaced 28ga is a 5-6 wrap max

At 18 mm: I actually use a speed revolution atomiser for this. It still has the wrap around posts, but it's wide open and a breeze for me to build and rebuild. Also super easy to clean in between juices because it has no nooks and crannies.

My 2 cents...so far I much prefer my Beserker MTL RDA 1.5 for flavor and simple build, quite small chamber with very good AF control. I also use a Ammit, Zenith and Kayfon. I also love my Wofoto Profile..however for testing using the mesh coil may not be true as it seems to have a deeper flavor character. I use SS316L in most of my builds.

thank you for all your recommendations. will go throw the list and see what would fit me.
And yes, flavour is different on other atties. But when i go out to vaping meetings (quite usual here in CH) i would like to carry something small easy to rewick with me to test liquids.
