Thanks bud I'll check that out just managed to wick my anani a bit better than previous attempts used ivg bubblegum salts and can taste it pretty good although had to split cotton in half as I think I was wicking it incorrectly using 2.5mm cotton so not sure if it's too little lol

Also play with the height of your coil in relation to the airflow. It makes a difference. On my Kayfun's and Dvarw's I set my coils ~1.5mm above the airflow. Up higher will give you a more intense throat hit. Lower less so.

Wicking naturally takes some trial and error to get it just right.

General rule of thumb is...
Too tight in the coil = dry hits
Too loose in the coil = possible flooding and/or leaking

You should "feel" some resistance as you move your wick side-to-side in the coil. You do not want the wick to move freely. And you don't want your wick to move the coil itself. In-between those two extremes is near perfect.

How much you trim off the wick tails also plays a role.

Wicking is a total "feel" thing.

Sweet thanks bro I've ordered some

For some, wicking with rayon can be more challenging than cotton. I switch off between both cotton and rayon. About 1/2 of the 8 RBA's I have in use now have cotton and the others rayon.

With rayon you need to use ~1/3 more in total wick thickness compared to cotton. Rayon contracts in your coil while cotton expands.

I would get comfortable wicking with cotton before moving onto rayon. Some find wicking with rayon to be tricky. Others don't. There is a learning curve compared to using cotton.

Yea I'm watching some vids on wicking on youtube as I type this lol think I'm getting the hang of it tho I thought the cotton I got which is fallout grenade cotton 2.5mm would go straight through the coil as the i.d is 2.5mm i think (using the fused clapton which came with the rta) but i split the cotton and it goes through much easier than before where it was too tight.

Just tried a rewick got it sitting nicely tried my favourite home mixed juice nice n sweet blue slush but the flavour is muted, seems to work better for certain flavours.
Check your coil placement, it could be slightly out of alignment with the optimal airflow.

Also play with raising or lowering your coil.

You might still have too much cotton in the coil. Maybe try a tad less.

The build deck is similar to a KFL19. Looking at the build deck, your wick tails when tucked in should just be touching the bottoms of the juice wells. You don't want them any longer than that. And you do not want any of your wick to get down into the 2 juice feed holes in the wells as that would cause wicking problems. Fluff your wick tails before tucking them into the juice wells.

Just keep in mind as other already said that as u build more and more u learn and the experience changes....
The coil build the height and most importantly the amount of cotton and how u build the whole thing makes big difference...
Haven't used pnp coils but I think u can get very good flavour from most rtas if u find the way they need to be builded even if they are not kayfuns and etc...
Those are expensive but all say they are top tier

Pretty fascinating subculture. I have always appreciated bonsai and sand raking but I never quite completely understood it. Now as I hit my 30s and notice that I go insane some days if I don’t find something for myself to do, I understand. I understand the meditative/mindfulness but also what’s going on neurally. We need that focus, that dopamine, and some days, having a little tree or a rock garden to rake around in is just what the doctor ordered.

Ah yes, mindfulness and meditation (the Great Teacher). I've been doing insight meditation (vipassana bhavana) for 30+ years. And I can no longer imagine a life without it. Mindfulness is the practice of being, or living, truly "in this moment". It's very essential for me, daily. Always learning new things there. :)

When i was in Chiang Mai (Thailand) i did go to one of those temples for some Vipassana, supposedly it was a 15 day program, you know for my anxiety.

Lasted day and a half, the no talking part really got me since I'm such a chatterbug.

I did get into Tai chi thou, that really helped.

Back to the MTL subject, yeah the Brunhilde as Daniel mentioned is a really good atty.
Also heard good things from the Berserker V2 MTL,maybe that is worth looking into.

cheers
