Hey guys.. wasn't sure where to post.. I just got a Klein MM200 multimeter from Home Depot:

Anyway.. it works ok, but only if I actually wrap my wire around the probes... so I'm looking for little clips to use.. something like these:

found at this site - I just don't know if they will fit or what.

Does anyone have any idea where I can get little tiny clips that will fit Klein MM200 multimeters? I just can't get a stable reading otherwise... the ohms are all over the map!

Thanks guys!

Of course, for truly accurate readings in the one or two ohm range, you want something with a really high input impedance, like an old VTVM.

I honestly don't know what you're talking about here haha. I really don't know much about this sort of stuff... but a few people recommended this... is this pointless for trying to measure something like .8 Ohms?

I mean, do I really need to buy a Fluke just to test my coils? My provari tests the ohms, will this Klein MM be as accurate as that? I can't image the Provari is much more accurate that a Multimeter? But I really don't know..

You should be fine - I googled the specs for your Klein and it has an input impedance of >10 meg, comparable to a Fluke or a VTVM (Vacuum Tube Volt Meter).

Ok, great! I was worried because I paid like $60 for it haha. I think I'll check those little clips at Radio Shack when I get a chance. Something meant for very thin wires.. Those teeth on that clip I posted just make it seem like my wire will bend, but maybe not.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Quick update... I went to radio shack and saw alligator clips, but they were pretty big. I also saw those little probes with the hooks. I asked the guy at radio shack which would be better (there's my mistake right there) and he said the hooks, so I got them.
Anyway... the ohm rating STILL jumps around.. but I can manage to get it to settle if I retract the hook really hard... I will probably just go get the alligator clips and try to return those (they were only like $3)

The hooks I got were similar to these:
