I am hoping someone from madvapes can provide me with answers to my questions. I started a new thread because I didn't want this post to be lost in the other thread.

I am somewhat of a "tank queen" and a "flavor junkie". I have 7 liquinators and about 2 dozen homemade syringe cartotanks, which I use exclusively. I have been using tanks for months, and I am very familiar with their operation and use. These have really caught my attention. I have some questions, which I believe are very important to our "tank community".

****** I have experience cutting tubing for my liquinators and syringe tanks. Is there any reason I would not be able to cut these tubes down the proper length, so I can use my regular single coil cartos? I just prefer my 3.0 single coil cartos on my VV mods. I have read that the flanged carto is not a necessity.

****** I plan on using my own punched cartos. Will the tank slide and turn too much without the flanged cartos?

****** Can these tanks be filled like liquinators by pushing the batt end in and slanting to one side to refill? I am speaking of using my own punched non-flanged cartos.

****** Can you do a "hot switch" with the carto by sliding a fresh one through while pushing the old one out? I am speaking of using my own punched non-flanged cartos.

****** Does anyone know what the tube material is? Is it polycarbonate? Syringe type plastic? Is it brittle? Do you think it'll be prone to cracks like the liquinators?

****** The caps look like delrin. Are they delrin?

I really like my homemade tanks, but I wish I could do a "hot switch" of cartos. It's difficult because the rubber plunger, which is the endacp really grabs the carto too tightly to push it through. I find this to be the major drawback to my homemade syringe tanks when it comes time to change the carto out.

I can answer some, but not all of your questions.

The tubes on these aren't real thick, about 1/32", and should be easy to cut to any desired length. They seem to be somewhat flexible, so they may be acrylic and not poly-carbonate. They are not soft, but you can lightly squeeze the sides and they do have some give. They are nice clear tubes and are definitely not syringe tubes.

I don't know if the end caps are nylon or derlin. The caps have an internal o-ring to seal on the carto and the carto that came with it slides into it pretty easily. The only thing that might keep you from doing a hot-swap or a bottom fill would be if the seam where the carto tube and battery connector meet were to get caught on the o-ring. The carto seems fairly secure. The picture on the site shows the flange as having to flat sides, but the one I received has a round flange and the recess in the bottom cap is also round. That being said, it still seems secure enough that it doesn't spin too much. The only purpose I can tell the flange on the supplied carto does is keep it from being pushed in too far. I don't think it does much to prevent leaking as others have suggested, the o-rings in the caps take care of that.

The only other tanks I have experience with are homemade syringe tube tanks and the Arry tank so I can't compare these to the ones you mention.

So far I really like this tank, it's pretty nice for the price. I have 2 of the Arry tanks which are pretty much bullet proof, but they're pricey. The Arry tanks are made to accept the guts from a clear CE2 XL and don't take regular cartos. I prefer CE2s...been using them for quite a while so I guess I'm just used to their quirks. I modified the MV tank to take the guts of a CE2 XL by cutting up one the metal Empty Battery Style Tubes (this tube does not slide easily into the caps, and I had to remove the o-rings and press them in). I've been using it for a couple days with good results...HTH

I've got a noob question about the tanks. Haven't been paying much attention to the ecig world the last 6-7 months so this is all new to me.
I was happy with my egos until I blew 6 batteries within a couple of weeks. Then, after my visits to people(namely employees of a vendor), I decided that 6v is the way to go for me.
I really don't wanna blow any atties, so which ones are best suited for 6v vaping?
