I had music playing pretty loudly as I was working out. Every time I went back to my computer to change the music, I kept smelling something sweet.. but couldn't figure out what it was.

Then I finally clued in... my 084 was being set off by the music! (nothing else was though, oddly enough). Unfortunately by the time I got to it, all juice was burned off and it smelled quite bad.

I've been trying to resurrect it by dripping juice on it, but it just stinks and tastes like crap. I think it's done for... :(

What an annoying thing to happen. I'm liking manual batteries more and more each day.. this is seriously ridiculous.

Yeah, it's worth a shot. I've got a few attys that need cleaning... dunno why, but having them sit for a week or so made them foul up bad. Both the cart and attys stink like wet cardboard or something. it's really strange because it's a sweet juice, not tobacco.. wouldn't expect that.

So while I'm at it, I may as well try to clean the 084 atty as well... maybe I'll luck out.

Darn that Michael Bolton!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have an 084, but if it is like any other atty.. an advanced solution(if cleaning doesn't work) would to be pull the wicking material out of the atty (carefully) and that should solve the burnt taste from the atty
Warning: if this is done atty will ONLY be good for DRIPPING on.

Not a bad idea, actually. It's funny you should mention that because I've only been using it for dripping. It works really well for that!

Worst case scenario, if cleaning it doesn't help.. instead of throwing it out I will try your suggestion, thanks. :)

I'm glad I have a replacement on the way from China. I think they sent it on a boat... sure is taking a long time.
