The version I posted was by Joe Cocker, so has nothing to do with what you just said... and wouldn't change the game play anyway, since they will ALL still work with the Bee Gees song!!!

And believe it or not, the Rules have actually been relaxed as the Game has progressed... LOL!!
We have wanted to get the OP to update them, but he doesn't come around here much anymore.

And I say allow the Peggy Lee song "Fever," if willing to relax the rules. I'm not understanding why not?

Because it is the same as the Joe Cocker version posted by MK... and even though her's is the original one, multiple versions of the same song are not allowed!!!

And MK's is not the original one in this thread, as my previous post alluded to. So, if we have to go back to when there was a last valid entry, it would be Cat Scratch Fever on 1/25/11, because that post (after Cat Scratch Fever) is actually based on a fictional band/artist. If that is allowed, and we ignore OP's rule, then we'd go back to post before MK's "Fever" entry.

I am playing the game. I'm sorry you don't like the rules or want them relaxed in way that suits your perspective. I've proposed what the last valid entry is based on recent challenge.

My position, if relaxing the rules, which I'm okay with is to go by post #13335. As #13336 is invalid, I tried to make a response to #13335, and then you invoked a challenge that has led us to this point.

!?! A girl gets a couple hours sleep and ?! Jman, just in general, you do make me giggle, so I'm a bit more forgiving of your stirring just for stirring's sake than I would be, otherwise. But spacekitty's totally right, this time. If we allowed covers of a song that's already been posted, oh my lord -- there are over 2,200 cover versions of The Beatles' "Yesterday", for instance. For me, the music is way more fun than the competition (though I enjoy both sides). All this has SURELY discouraged prospective new folks from jumping in and joining a fun game on the forum. If it were up to me, we'd have 2 music games going -- this one for music fanatics, like myself, who enjoy the massive added challenge of avoiding any duplicates, and another with a clean slate, that would be MUCH more welcoming to new faces, who don't have the time or the interest in that added challenge (I'd sure play there, too, as it would also be a blast; and haven't we all come here to the Lounge just to have some fun?) I haven't started that second thread cause I'd be way sad if it just sunk down into oblivion, and feel like I was picked last in 5th grade softball, all over again. I'm actually gonna post this huge mess, ridiculously long as it is, then post my everloving song!

Tsk.. tsk... Go back a page my dear friend. You'll find that after Night Fever came the highly contested Fever and after that came Fever Dog by yours truly. So even as Fever by Peggy Lee wasn't a valid post; my Fever Dog still applied as the word Fever still went with the last valid post.
