it appears so, You need the match at least 2 consecutive letters in either the song title from the previous post to your post.
A song can only be played once in the game, so You need to use the search thread tool to check and see if the song has or hasn't been played yet.
Putting the the song title/artist before the the embedded video or link will help a lot when searching for duplicate plays

. I'm thrilled to see a couple new players, and I DO hope you keep playing this hardest of the song-chain games. But, just for some extra FUN, there are also two easier music games in the Lounge. For the one in my signature, instead of only two consecutive letters for a match, it's three, BUT you can play off of either the song or artist's name, whereas it's only off song names here. For the new, REALLY lazy-style free association song-chain game, you don't have to check for duplicates, post the song's info above videos, or match on any letters. You just play the first thing the last video makes you think of

, I love to play all three! Speaking of only playing off SONG names here, the song "Liars" a few plays back was matched on the artist's name. We've moved on quite a bit from that play, so I say we PLAY ON from whatever came just before "Our House". A quick check of the "search thread" tool (top/right) is definitely necessary with this music game. But enjoy all three

Actually, Liars is the band name and Houseclouds is the song name.
Edit: After knowing this, I'd like to be informed of if I was playing right. I have checked to make sure the songs I posted were not posted before and ensured that each one shared a similar word (or in this case, three letters). Now I'm all embarrassed and think I did something wrong or screwed up the game.

Not only have you not screwed up the game in any which way, you should see how many accidental dupes have been played in this game's LONG history, many by yours truly, but since the very beginning of the chain by all. Technically, it's only TWO letters that need to match in this game (three for the one in my sig), but I happen to think that the more of a match, the better (only personal preference). The best way to check for dupes is putting in both the song and artist's name in the "search thread" tool, though I'll admit it's more annoying to do than it really should be (but I'm half sloth).

That's what I've been doing in each song I've posted. I was just making sure I've not broken any of the games rules.
