I guess that makes more sense.. I thought that's whey they are called Ecigs to distinguish the difference by adding the E... I dunno, no biggie to me either but 20 pages must mean something to the forum.

I think someone thought it was great marketing. Whats funny is that you don't hear vibrators called an Epenis.

Must be asked: why do you hate the term vaping?
It's probably not so much that she hates it, although I can't speak for her.

It's just that many do hate that terminology, and as a moderator she would be well aware of that.
Hence the probability that you will soon see another thread to that effect.

But I do hate the term vaping, so I'll go ahead and answer.
It sounds stupid.

But there is no other term that does not sound stupid.
And we have been trying for at least three years to find one.

So it appears we are stuck with it.

Personally, I like to call my e-cig a miniature personal fog machine.
Because that is really what it is, and it conveys the fact that nobody should be bothered by it.

O.K., despite my joint date I'm still really a newbie. (Long story short, first tried vaping a while back, quit after being disappointed with what was available at the time, giving it another go.) So I know I'm in no position to be making demands. Just my two cents, but seeing the term "analogs" for cigs bothers me a little. My other big hobby besides consuming nicotine is listening to vinyl records, a.k.a. analog sound. So seeing that term used in a disparaging sense just rubs me the wrong way. :)

I think its pretty smug. I call them cigarettes because thats what they are.

PS - electronically speaking, many 510 units are technically analog built, so the term isnt really used properly anyways.

I've found alot of people who haven't really enjoyed vaping. To be honest, neither did I at first. But vaping has come a long way since I first started back in 2010 (and definitely since you did in 2008! ;)) I found that it takes a while to find the right vaporizer and flavour that works for you. Also vaping can be a bit overwhelming at first, but once you learn more about all the different brands, parts, falvours etc it only gets better and better!

Keep vaping! you wont regret it!

I'm far more annoyed by calling PVs "e-cigarettes" ... I DON'T SMOKE.

It also lumps us in with smokers and the negative health consequences of smoking.

As a result:

Vaping, vapor, Vape, vaper, vaporizer, PV...

Smoking, smoke, smoke, smoker, cigarette, cigarette.
