Wow thats scary! I own an eVic and never had that happen, it has to be a deffective unit, take it back or contact Joytech for a refund. Word of advice for any manual device, when ever I know Im not going to be using my APV for a few hours such as going to see a movie, I turn it off and I also have my eVic set to turn off automatically ater 30mins of not in use in case I forget!

I thought id let you guys know how everything turned out. So i went back to the store today and argued with the owner for a good 40+ minutes. He offered to exchange my eVic to a new one, which i did not want. I either wanted a new provari and pay the difference, or a refund. He ended up letting me buy the provari and all i can say is i love it and i understand why they have such a following.

Congratulations on the happiest of endings!

Can you name the B&M so we can all buy eVic from them please? I'm kidding, but feel free to post the name of the B&M :)

Good deal, I am glad you got something sorted out with the owner. Sounds like it was a fight, but at least now you know, turn off your APV and remove the battery or remove the topper before storing in your pocket - provari or evic, it makes sense.

First of all sorry to hear about the disaster. At first I thought you were joking with the whole in my pants, getting hot, then liquid everywhere - see how that can be funny?

Anyways. I have an evic and I know what the good and the bad is. There are many advantages to it and very few diaadvantages. However everything about vaping comes down to personal preference.

Hope the provari is treating you better and hope your liquid stays in its tank :)

Pleased to read about the positive outcome, even though it must have been stressful during the week-end. Meanwhile, thanks for sharing this experience with us. I migrated to a Joyetech Evic a couple of weeks ago. I am still very pleased with it. Needless to say, your advice is extremely helpful. Goodness, the advice which is shared on this forum is overwhelming yet compelling.

You should have bought 2 Provari's and sent one to me. lol This thread has made me decide to just get a Provari and be done with it. So thanks man.

Just curious, but how is this guy's experience an example of the provari being better or more desirable than the evic?
