So I'm digging into my first rba with an AGA-S. Using it on a Precise Simplicity.
I initially used a 4 wrap of Kanthal 30 over 400 ss mesh straw wick. After eventually getting a working wick and coil, I was sitting at 1.3 ohms. Wasn't liking the vape at all as it tasted like the juice was getting singed. Tinker after tinker produced similar quality--where I couldn't take 2+ consecutive pulls without burn-city.
Decided to use the wire that came with the AGA-S. It was a bit thinner than the 30awg, so I'm assuming it's in the 34 range. Did a 3 wrap which turns out to 1.8/1.9 ohm. Now we're talking.
Pop in a fresh battery. I've got good vapor production, wicking seems good as I can give it pull after pull without it tasting burnt. The issue is flavor. I'm vaping Deadly Sin, and while I get a very flavorful vape on a carto or clearomizer, the AGA-S is severely muted.
Any tips?
