Muted flavor

I recently purchased a wismec rx2/3 reuleaux, steam crave aromamizer v2, and milkman crumbleberry. Plus some prebuilt 28ga tiger coils and native wicks.

I started out getting dry hits and no liquid getting to the coil section. I fixed this by creating a hole in the wicking where the airflow goes through in two spots. I can take long drags on it at 40watts now no problem.

I still have almost no flavor coming from this setup. Ive tried steeping for a week. No improvements. It smells great. I know it is 100% vg and this could be the issue. Is there something I am missing? Something obvious with my build?

If looking primarily for flavor, try dropping the wattage to a lower setting. Many fruit flavors can taste burnt or muted if you use too high of a setting.

If you had to resort to special techniques to stop dry hits, then my best guess is your wicking is not right.
There's quite an art to it, depending on atomizer. It's one of the reasons I prefer drippers for high power vaping (well, my idea of high power vaping... ).. less to get perfect.
Pre-made coils are usually good.
I have no idea what a 'native' wick is, but I'm sure there's a good reason for being so specific about it. I just pull/cut, roll and fluff some organic cotton.
I also believe the more direct to the lungs, the less chance to taste your juice.

I had problems tasting any juice with my old setup, only a few vendors had juice strong enough to taste something.
I ended up asking for a recommended setup and now i'm very happy.
I started making my own juices again, hopefully they'll taste enough this time!

Did your juice ever taste good? If not, try another. What is your 'native' wick made of? Cotton i hope. If not rewick. As Djsvapor suggested lower watts..

I also decided to change reseller, I bought my concentrated flavors from FusionFlavours.ca before but too many things went wrong.
One of the bottles from the glassware I purchased was broken on arrival, some liquid dripped into my ethyl maltol crystals, turning some of it pink and recently I realized the FA Banana is really FW Banana. I even checked my receipt and it says FA Banana (and shows a picture of Flavour Art) but on the bottle it says FW.

After doing a quick verification, it looks like FA doesn't even have a Banana flavor.
All that happened on a single purchase.

Everything came in rebottled with fusion flavours bottles so I was suspicious that maybe something went wrong with the concentrates and could be why i'm not getting enough flavor!

I made 23x5ml tests with different flavors/percentages anyway since I can't afford this week to purchase another bunch of concentrated flavors but I was suggested ecigexpress.com and for an additional 10$ on shipping, I get to buy from a known US reseller.

I also received an analytical balance as a gift, it's an expensive piece of equipment so I spent quite some time learning how to use it and weighting a bunch of stuff. That thing has a scary amount of zeros.
