Hi, y'all don't know me, but Bonny told me to come read the stickies, so I started with this one and it was too funny to not do some likes and comment. Mutt kept talkin bout moving to Ohio, and I was like nooooooo don't do it, so loved it when I saw Mich say he didn't want to really. Don't know where Barberton is, but I lived in a lot of places in Ohio when I was a kid. (Read that as when I had no choice lol) Anyhow, just wanted to say Hi and thanks for the giggle. Can't wait to try some VB juices!
It's near Akron. One of those towns that you grow up in and love, but has a bad wrap bc of the bad choices that some people make. Same ole' small town story, butttt... I am glad that we are an entertaining bunch!
lol Everyone has some of those towns. I actually thought you meant Ohio in general and just had to tease. Hope you don't mind. I lived in Ohio for 18 yrs. Never did like it, and I lived just about all over that state. Still have some family there in various places.
I was so ready to move away. I left Ohio while they were having a blizzard, and made it to Texas where they were having a heat wave lol. At least when I moved back home, I waited for it to be summer in Ohio lol.
I was there during the blizzard of 78. I lived in Dayton and it most of the state was declared a disaster area. People froze to death because their homes got completely buried under 20 ft snow drifts etc, and if they didn't have family/friends, no one knew they were there. It was awful, and like 60 below actual temperature. No No NO NO NO I will take 110 any day over that lol
This winter has been amazing. Only a few snowstorms and 60 degree weather here and there. I am quite frightened when I think about us paying for it next winter. I was super excited about the Texas weather, but with my ex being sent to Fort Bliss, we got to live in El Paso. Weather was amazing at night, but walking outside during peak hrs took my breath away and instant sweat. Although, I would take that over the windstorms that sent sand and dirt from the mountains hitting me in the face any day lol!
Some folks love it, but I am not a fan of west Texas. I do however like West, Texas (which is a town full of czech immigrants not far from me, but it's in central Texas, go figure). Amazing kolaches!! I have a severe sensitivty to cold. Close to 80 is my comfort zone or I'm in a lot more pain than usual. My feeling is anything below 70 is like below 0. So 60 is really 10 below! lol I was so glad we had such a mild winter also, cuz it does get cold here at times. but I knew we'd pay for it this summer with bugs and I was right. Omggg the flies and mosquitos along with other assorted creepy crawlies are unreal. I'm sure it's the same for most of the country that didn't have good freezes. Ya open the door for 2 seconds and 87 flies move in.
We usually only get (dirty 4 letter S word) maybe once every couple of years or so. But the last few times we have....it's been like, around April/May???!!! How does that happen??? When my son was in Iraq in 07, it did that in April, a year or so ago it was the night before Easter. Mother Nature has done lost her mind y'all!! One year we did have enough of it for him to build a (dirty 4 letter S word) man. lol

On my way down to TX, we spent a week with family in Houston before finishing our journey to the border of Mexico and that was the optimal weather for me. Wasn't so hot that (sry to the guys) your bra became a sweat rag after just moments after being outside and at night it was the perfect bonfire weather.
Howdy mutt! Hope all is well in Georgia. I've been busy trying my first clearos, and new juices. Of course just about any juice is new to me. lol All of this stuff is new to me. Just successfully cleaned a phoenix and switched juices. Next up will be doing the same with the stardust. I'm so not mechanically inclined, but I put it back together and it still works! yea! lol Put some spicy chai juice in there, and wow is that yummy!
