MVP 2.0 Airflow Issues?

When I first got my MVP 2.0, I was using it with the iClear 30 that came with it and my Protank 3 as well. It would, as far as I could tell, pull normally. The past couple days I've had to suck a lot harder to get the same kind of pull. I tried replacing the coils, cleaning the tank. And then it dawned on me to try and remove the beauty ring that came with it. When I did that, my pulls are back to normal. Yay! But now my question is, why was it working normally before and now, even though nothing has changed, it seems a lot harder to hit? The holes haven't changed. I've removed the ring, and put it back on several times since I've had it, so I'm not sure if placement of the ring is an issue either.

Has anyone else had airflow problems with the beauty ring on the MVP 2.0?

As much as I like innokin products, the far to frequent Innokin APV design issues, combined with some attys (even their own), tend to create the "perfect storm" of poor air flow situations.

To eliminate most of the problems associated with the beauty ring position, 510 pin depth and sometimes meager vent slotting on the 510 collar - relative to the (additionally, often meager as well) venting abilities of what ever atty you're using... you may want to consider drilling both it, the 510 collar and perhaps even the atty.
