Hello! :)

I'm new to this whole vaping experience. I recently just upgraded last week from the Vamo V.3 to the MVP 2.0. I was using the ProTank 2 on my MVP and the smoke was considerably too harsh for my taste, so I went today and bought myself a GeniTank (not sure if it's the Mega, but its the one that is around the same size as my ProTank was). It came with 1.8r dual coil. (I have no idea if that is the combined coils, or what. Like I said, I am new to this :/)

I have looked at the Vape Chart as to where to set my W&V... and, it was directing me to the perfect vape just fine for the protank(2.6r), but now with the genitank and the 1.8r, I am confused! I had it set to around 7.5w & 3.8v and was getting the perfect combo of flavor & cloud (especially with the customizable airflow! Whew! That's a life saver!!) But it has only been a few hours and my coil burnt out! (Pretty sure it completely burnt out, and not just the wick, I was down to 0.2r) Another thing to effect the situation is that I was vaping on the 1.8r while my MVP was charging (since I can and don't have to nicfit while waiting now, like I did with my vamo. Lmao) could that have burnt it out, too? I never vaped while charging with the protank, I just forgot to charge my mod overnight last night :/ lol

Alas, I put in the other coil that came with the genitank upon purchase, but I don't want it to burn out either!! I had the same coil in my protank for 2-3 weeks with no issues! But, that WAS with the Vamo. Only had my MVP about 5 days, and the GeniTank a few hours.

What did I do wrong to burn my coil out so fast? I'm not quite into building my own coils and mechanical mods or anything... I'm in love with the MVP/GeniTank combo, I just don't want to burn through coils like water! Even though 7-8 is around my sweet spot... :/

Oh! And I have been on a Strawberry/Banana/Marshmallow 7mg juice for about 3 days and it never even discolored my Protanks wicks, so I am not sure if it is because it's sweet or not. Those are the only flavors I like. Lol

Help me? Pretty please? I'm an itty bitty babyvaper :3

Awesome! Thank you! :D

So, in theory, I could actually crank it up to no higher than a 5.0v/8.5w and the coil would still preform? Just, hotter smoke?

Also, is there a limit to how rapidly I can puff on my vape? I'm a chain vaper half the time, and although I know it gets hot if you puffpuffpuff and the vapor is harsher, but other than that is there any bad things I need to be weary of? As in, do in need to space out my puffs?

Sorry for so many questions! But, I do greatly appreciate it :D

Yeah, just turn up to what you like. No limit on puffing really, other than if your liquid isn't getting fed quickly enough to the coil. You'll know if it starts to taste burny, then you might have to slow down a bit.

Btw, your 1.8 ohm dual coil is actually 2 coils, both being 3.6ohms. Just an fyi.

Mmm mm seriously sticky juice, pretty sure chain vaping this syrup is gonna crud up a coil pretty quick as well

And a 3.6 ohm coil is going to be some pretty thin wire that probably snapped.
( it broke, probably touched something inside the head, causing a short which is why it dropped to .2)

They should be OK, but bad premade coils do happen, its not rare.

Sweet! I know that dual coils usually are, but had forgotten to ask in the vape shack when I went earlier. Thank you :D

Also, I stay on the 1.8r for the vape V/W right? As in I do not use the resistance of "3.6" to go by, but instead instead use the 1.8 for proper vaping temps, correct?

Honestly, every liquid I vape is a sweet and sticky disaster that almost leaves your mouth feeling sticky afterwards. Hahaha. But, I haven't had any issues with it thus far :/

What could it have touched? And can I prevent it next time, or is it inevitable?

Edit: Strawbanamallow is such a delicious mix if you have never tried it! :D

Yeah,use 1.8 for any calculations.
