Hi Guys and Gals,
I got my MVP 2.0 yesterday and just charged it fully via USB to PC (until green light went out) today and checked battery voltage via the double button press and it gave me a 4.1 reading. The only reason I even bring this up is that when my VV v3.0 is fully charged it gives me a 4.2 reading. What has been your experience? Thanks!

That's what I thought too. I unplugged it and re-plug it and the green light stayed out meaning it was fully charged but only 4.1 showed. Next charge ill use the wall outlet. Still, it was 120 or so 5-6 sec puffs before it went down to 4.0. Meaning its gonna last me a few days. I love it!

Curious to hear your result. Thanks for the response!

The green light turns off when fully charged then you will see 4.2

Sorry for restarting this thread but I though it was better then making a new thread.

So my mvp v2 now light up red when i puff after 5 days of vaping but the battery volt is now 3.5 and 4.2 when I started. My question to you is: Will the battery voltage ever go down to 0.0 or will it die before that? I'm pretty new to this so I assume that 4.2V would be equivalent to 100% and then of course 0.0V would be 0%, and in that case why would it blink red if it only lost 0.7V?

Thank you for your reply. Can I still vape while I charge it?

Yes, but not immediately if it's in the 'danger zone.' The 'passthrough' on the MVP isn't a true passthrough, you're using the battery. If your battery is low enough, you might not be able to vape right away. Once there's enough charge that the MVP thinks you won't deplete the battery below the danger zone, knock yourself out.

The MVP uses a lithium battery. A proper charging chip doesn't use voltage to determine when it's fully charged, but will instead offer a constant voltage to the battery, while monitoring how much current is going in. When the current going in drops to a certain level, the battery is charged, regardless of the voltage. Individual batteries will vary slightly, that method adapts to the differences. Between that, and the fact that the voltmeter isn't exact, don't worry about whether your's shows 4.1 or 4.2 V when full. It's not the voltage which determines when it's full.

Discharging a lithium battery below about 3 Volts will damage it. Lithium batteries like to be kept charged - you'll get more cycles from charging early and often than by fully draining and recharging. But you obviously don't get as much out of each cycle. So there's a balance. I think Innokin sets the full dischage (red led) warning to about 3.3V - low enough that you get a lot of use out of a charge, but high enough to avoid reducing the lifetime of the battery. To get the maximum useful lifetime out of your battery, you should probably let it discharge until you get the yellow warning.

More info here.
