You can try around 9 and under watts,

1. Unscrew the coil, re-screw the coil, l , flip the rubber grommet, reinsert try again
or
2. replace the coil with a new one.

Weirdest things with Protank 2, some people complain it's airy and others it's tight..

You might want to invest in this if you plan to keep Protank 2

As mentioned above, get the Aerotank base, best thing you can do. Then look into rebuilding your own coils. It's actually really easy after you do a couple. The stock coils are just so-so IMHO. A homemade 2.2 ohm coil with a cotton wick in the Aerotank base is vaping heaven!! Excellent vapor and flavor with your 50/50 juice. I just started doing my own coils a couple of weeks ago, always thought it was just a bit far-fetched that it could make any difference at all, but it really, really does.

The advice to start building your own coils is valid. PT2 stock coils are hit and miss at best. I still have a few, so they go into a tank and I vape them until I am unhappy with them, which is usually very quickly. 8 wraps of 30ga kanthal A-1 on a 16ga needle micro coil stuffed with cotton. Takes 5 minutes once you get it down, and it costs pennies to build. You can get a 100' spool of 30ga kanthal on Amazon for about 7 bucks, shipped. Organic cotton balls, 2 bucks at RiteAid. 16ga needles, 2 bucks at Tractor Supply for 6 of them. If you don't have a torch, use a lighter.

Other than that, the aero bases are really good, with one caveat; they are not a magical device to just adjust the draw of the PT to your liking. They affect how the PT wicks juice, so too tight a draw can lead to flooding and gurgling. With a proper micro coil wicked properly with cotton and an aero base set correctly, the PT2 is a killer clearo.
