so if you seen the switch (inside of the MVP, youtube video) you follow me when I say
it sounds as if innokin had it right : the switch post (white plastic) then covered with
a tin/chromed beauty cover are "All the correct Dimensions" but maybe tight tolerances
didn't allow "ROBOT" to push cover down far enough and that's what everybody is doing
just pushing the beauty cover that final 1.5 mm in...?

(unlike the epic fail with the beauty ring that hung over the eGo edge, duh-bet somebody was fired for that)

my new MVP 2.0 should be here Monday, I will gently attempt this fix...:2cool:

I just got my MVP V2 and was very bothered by the button sticking out on the bottom also. I figured, I'll just take er to the bench grinder and fix that that problem in a jiffy. Then I thought, what if I need to send it in for repair? Nope, can't let fire up the grinder today. What will I do?? Then of course I remembered that ECF is full of brilliant minds and took a stroll on over to see what the scoop was on this issue. Someone said, " just force the button down into the hole until it sits flush." I said to myself knowing a little about electronics, "That, could be VERY dangerous!." But, I read on... Well, ladies and gents, I'm here to report that the procedure was successful and very safe as long as you don't push the top of the button past the recessed indentation. Mr. MVP stands at PERFECT attention now awaiting his next refill thanks to you all!! :toast:

I hate to do this, but I'm just a tad confused. Are you all pushing down on the round part of the switch that actually sticks out? Or pushing down on the opposite end?

I pushed down on the flat part at the base of the toggle post, then flipped the switch and pushed on the other side. Did it a couple of times until it was flush.

Some one else said they just pushed straight down on the toggle button itself and it worked but I haven't done it that way.

Thanks! And it's great that you posted this.....I know of a couple others that will love you for this. I'll point them over to this thread.

Seems to have worked very well. I'd say it's about 98% flush now. Will it go in more or is yours still slightly out?

Mine is flush as you can see in the picture in first post of this thread. Set it down, if it doesn't wobble then you have gone far enough. If not, I would try a couple more pushes.

Well, I got my MVP and MVP 2.0 within weeks of each other.
I had read about the wobble that was so annoying and which needed fixing...
Just doesn't seem to be a problem for me...they stand up on a table top just fine with no "fixing" at all. I can't see it getting knocked over because of the so-called wobble.
But, if it makes you happy, go for it.

Isn't that what we're here for? Or, is it bad form to suggest that there may not really be problem which needs "fixed"?

wow v1 & v2 cool, do they weigh the same and neither one has a button that sticks out a little

are yours the same color, there is a whole list of people here that are happy with this fix

it worked for them-watch out for the 'fire' button on v1, abuse makes it pop out

enjoy your two MVP's ☺

I'm really surprised that yours doesn't have a button that sticks out at the bottom. Every review and person that I have spoken to with an MVP has this issue.

On both, the button sticks out just enough to know it is there...but does not prevent them from standing securely on a flat surface.
I have not weighed them, but I judge them to weigh just about the same.
I have both due to a shipping error. I ordered the 2.0, and the vender shipped the version 1. When I contacted them, they were only too happy to pay for return shipping and send the 2.0.
I suggested that I keep version one, and they give me a great deal on the 2.0...they agreed, and threw in free shipping too.
The vender was EVcigarettes, and their customer service was superb.
BTW, if you find a good deal on version one, buy it...it works great.
