rounding third and heading home...
I have the mvp and love it- tons of vapor , easy to adjust , and handles whatever I put on it. don't let the battery scare you off- it lasts longer than any battery I have used in the past ,recharges quickly and can actually charge your cell phone in a pinch. as for it not being replacable- by the time this battery can no longer hold a charge (years?) you will want to move on to the latest and greatest device in the pipeline-regardless of what anyone tells you that is the nature of the beast.this forum and others are full of people who had perfectly good mos and switched to something else just because- you will too even if you say you won't. the mvp is a fine ,simple , well-made mod(priced right, too.)

I own both. The Tmax is cool because it has the extra bells and whistles like reading resistance and variable wattage, but mine has issues and I've heard from others experiencing this too. There is an issue with how the battery (using an AW 18650 red jacket 2000mah) seats on the contacts. Every 3-4 vape it will start to produce very little vapor and I've even had it read "Short" before. So, I have to give it a good knock to re-position the battery and it'll be fine for a little while. This could be a very small group experiencing this, but I believe it was a rushed product and wasn't well thought out from the beginning. Originally they were going to manufacture these to take a 16340 and the vaping community started an uproar to change the design.. which lead to the 2 battery bays 1 for 18650 and 1 for 18350. Not a bad idea, but it seems like they rushed it and it ended up being a weird design and now this issue with the connection.

I would personally send you to vaporally.com to pick up one of their MVPs that have ego cone threading. Mine has been stellar since day one. The battery lasts SSOOO much longer than the 18650 you would put in the Tmax not to mention the weight and size (even though you say they don't matter). The MVP was a well thought out NICE mod. I like the Tmax, but it has some major issues that need sorted out first imo.

Version 3 of the Innokin itaste MVP will have all of the bells and whistles (ohm reader, variable wattage) and will most like be out before the end of the year. Innokin just release the regular itaste with VW and resistance checker, and noted that the MVP was due as well.

The current MVP with ego threading is a killer, portable mod. Been loving mine for a month and no problems with the build quality. Innokin took all of the suggestions when V1 came out and quickly fixed the issues, so I have little doubt that Version 3 will take long to be delivered to the public.

The MVP is the best of the affordable VV box mods.

totally agree
I bought 2 Sigelei Tmax - BOTH have major issues - One does not fire at all - 25.00 to ship it back??? I dont think so! :(
Lesson learned - I will wait for others to review a pv -
I am now going with Innokin MVP

I 2nd this. I have a provari and this and tend to use this one (due to battery life) a bit more. I've gone as far as 2.5 days without recharging. I agree...its inexpensive, well built, and works very well.

Another vote for the MVP here. I do not have a Tmax. Picked up the MVP from fasttech for 45$ and I love it. Great feel, a single charge gets me more than a day and a half (Heavy vaping), 510 and ego threading, and pocket friendly. Would have liked to had a resistance checker, vw, and a replaceable battery, but for the price, I like it the way it is. Also, no PWM stutter when I vape. The 33hz stutter on my VAMO drives me crazy.

DO NOT...i repeat DO NOT GET THE FREAKING T-MAX. It should be named the fail box. It's worthless. If you must have it, send me 30 bucks on paypal and i will send you this. I used it about 5 times. It worked ok out of the box. After that, nothing but problems.

The MVP on the other hand works great and at 40-50$ out performs the crap-max.

Thanks mate!

I've waited this long, I can wait a bit longer.

In case anyone else is interested:

The Link:

We discussed some of their new and upcoming products. What can we look forward to from Innokin in the upcoming months?

  • Improved iTaste with a larger battery and a Micro USB charge port.
  • Improved iClear 30 with a glass tank and stainless cover (see photos for prototype).
  • Improved AIO PCC with flip top lid (see photos for prototype).
  • New VV/VW Box mod which utilizes a removable 18650 battery, rotational thumb wheels for adjustments, and built-in iClear30 tank storage (tank goes in the body)
  • Improved MVP with VV/VW and ohm meter features.

I know this is an old thread but I feel that we all are under the same circumstance today, still.

I weighed them both and eventually landed on the MVP. The reviews scared me off of the T-Max. If the T-Max was flawless, I would probably go with both.

I ordered the MVP because it was the most unique and versatile mod I could find that met my specific need. It's battery is twice the battery of my iphone. It works as a passthrough and is durable, making it perfect to take in the car and then pocket. It has a USB port on it to charge other devices. It's vv 3-5 volts.

Is it going to give you the same throat hit of sucking on your Vamo at 11.5 watts? No. Is it going to last longer and outperform your ego twist? Yes. Is it going to hold up well? Yes.

I got mine for $46.95 with 2 iclear 16's and a nifty charger cable that has 3 ends. I'm still anxiously awaiting a better version of the TMax, because I like the idea of being able to use a 650 as a main and a 350 as a backup. Not to mention the VW and sigelei menu. They just need to fix the issues with it before I'm putting $.
