I am looking to upgrade to a mod. I am torn between the itaste mvp and the vamo. My wife says the mvp is ugly, and the replaceable battery would extend the life of the mod, but the passthrough is nice as is the power bank function.
I am looking for opinions from folks who have had either.
Thanks

I went from a Vamo to a MVP just recently, and I gotta say that both are awesome first mods. I had the Vamo for over a year, and it never gave me problems. The length is a bit rediculous, especially in the 18650 battery configuration, but the look, feel and functionality is really top notch for it's price point. The MVP on the other hand, is also built nice and solid, and has awesome functions. To me, it really came down to form factor. I wanted a box mod, and something that could last me all day without being as long as a light saber with a protank attached to it! If you want a tube, go Vamo. If you want a box, go MVP :)

Go for the MVP. I have one and I just love it! It not only has an awesome battery life (I go 2-3 days between charges- and I vape A LOT!) it produces awesome vapor with all of my tanks, it is sturdy and can also be used as a charger for your phone or iPod/Pad/Phone in an emergency. It is true that the MVP is essentially a disposable but it will last you probably 2-3 years at least. I can't say the same for the Vamo. The MVP is also a pass through, which is nice but honestly you probably won't ever need it because the battery lasts sooooo long. I just can't say enough about the MVP. I won mine. I also did not like the way it looked and I would not have bought one myself. But I am SO glad that I won one. Now I know what I would have been missing out on just because I didn't like the 'look' of it. I have lots and lots of different ego style batteries and assorted mods. But my MVP 2 is my favorite. It is what I use all day long. I don't leave home without it. Also you can pick up the kit for $39 at 101vape right now.

Good Luck!!

It's amazing how many of us newbies come to this same exact decision after our first couple of months. iTaste and Vamo are doing something right. They both have quality low priced, full featured 'entry level' mods. I wonder how many units they sell compared to other mods, since every vaper on here seems to have one, the other or both, even if they have Provaris and such.. it seems that they (we?) all start with this same choice: iTaste MVP or Vamo? (a few others might pop up on occasion, but the overwhelming majority are these two)

Just an interesting observation, as I am new to this, and these types of threads catch my attention every time.

I went with the MVP after posting the same thread, and reading the others like it. At $40, the MVP is a steal (considering that you would pay $15 for just the iclear30 alone)

I also bought the Kamry K101 kit, since after doing the math, the mod was only like $10 or 15 when factoring in the value of batteries, cartos and a charger. I also get experience with a mechanical mod, and if I see a great deal on something that really catches my eye, I will have the rest of the kit to get it going.

With current sales at 101Vape, the two together were less than many other mods out there....

Happy vaping!

How does she say its ugly. I think its damn sexy!:hubba:

Well seems like everyone has the same idea. I figured I'd put my 2 cents in. I had the vamo v3 and about 4 months later got the mvp2. I feel like they are in completely different leagues. My Vamo has sat on my shelf not used at all unless my mvp is charging across the room and I'm too lazy to walk over there. The MVP just gives such a solid hit and will last all day in a sleek package. I always used the vamo in 18350 mode because i couldnt stand the length. And my mvp is still shorter then the vamo in short mode. I say go mvp, and don't look back. Plus it comes with the iClear 30 and have yet to find a better tank. (Havent tried the iClear 30S, but hear its better). beats protank, evod, anything else I've tried IMO.

in the beginning I had the same dilemma. As a newb, I thought the vamo was too long and getting batteries and charger was too much money to throw down if I didn't like the setup. The kicker for me to go for the mvp was that it acts as a spare battery via usb for my cellphone/tablet. No rattlesnaking as mentioned by @imperialbeachboy is a plus. I also think it looks badass especially with a black evod tank or protank2.

When the decision for which mod for me came up I ended up with the MVP 2. It wasn't even one of the two I had listed, LOL. It was just a mod that I'd noticed while reviewing the SVD. After figuring in the cost of batteries, the charger, and the hassle I thought, "what am I doing?" and went for the MVP 2. I haven't regretted it one day. It has every function I could want and an incredible battery life plus it's a pass-through. Good Luck and Happy Vaping!

I bounce back and forth between my eVic and MVP 2. Both are terrific. Both are straight DC output, not pulse width modulated like the Vamo. This is the cause of the rattlesnake sound that many hear with many devices. The issue with PWM, in my humble opinion is that it is like trying to dim the lights by flicking the switch on and off. The dimmer you want it, the longer you leave the lights off. Not interested in blasting my atomizer with full battery voltage and switching it off 33.3 times per second (what many PWM systems use). Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun!

I guess I'll be the odd person out. LOL My husband and I both Vape..started out with 3 spinners..then we both got a Vamo V2. We love it. My husband hates it in small 350 mode...I personally do also..but will switch out to the 350 every once in a while, just to use those batts that have been sitting around. When 101Vape started selling the MVP2 for 40 bucks, after reading sooo many great reviews about it, I ordered one for my husband. He likes it. Yes, it's true, it does have a long battery life...but when it goes out, it goes out..so you better have a back up. With the Vamo, when the batts die, you just pop in another one..no need to wait several hours for it to charge. The MVP has just a bit longer battery life than a Vamo in 650 mode...with the batteries we use in the Vamo, the MVP has, I think, 400 mAh more than what we have..so that's maybe 4 hours more run time..but again, when the vamo dies out, I'm back up and running in less than a minute.

What I personally don't like about the MVP, is the button. I find, for myself, right in the middle of a drag, my thumb comes off the button...its just a bit hard to push down and hold down, for me...also, it just sits almost too flush to the box.

My husband uses both the MVP and Vamo at the same time. He keeps a different flavor juice in each tank...so he goes days without ever having the need to change/charge either one.

Either one you get, I'm sure you'll be very happy with.
