Go for the MVP v2.0 and you wont regret it at all. My mvp is my all day vape mod, in the car and at work.
I mainly run a kanger T3S on it with a 2.2 or 2.6 ohm coil. One full charge lasts me 2~3 days before the battery turns red.
Plus the main thing is you can charge your cell phone with it. I have a tmobile Samsung galaxy s4 and that thing eat battery all day, with the mvp fully charged I can charge my phone fully and still have about a day of vaping left. So I say go for it, and that thing looks sexy with anything you put on it.

If the Vamo came with battery, charger, and a clearomizer for 40USD, its a tougher choice. However, as they are priced now, the MVP2 is probably the best deal you can get right now. Pass-through capability means no downtime, ever. Electronics wise, much better as many have mentioned, does not use PWM. You also have all the bells and whistles that all other mods comes with (resistance check, VV, VW, etc...)

There are a couple things to consider here. The MVP has a lipo pack which is in reality just a lithium cobalt ion pack, these are usally pretty great for total capacity but they suck in cold weather which at least here is starting to be the case. The choice to use hybrid high drain batts makes for taking the Vamo out although large in stature a better option in such situations. The power bank feature is a cool touch on the MVP and assuming they gave it a bigger battery, I could even say its useful but you are always boosting when you do this and it drains the cell pretty quick making this only a master of one trade per charge. The benefit to the mvp however is its very easy charging, no need for an external battery charger is a great prospect and the fact that there are usb ports almost everywhere we go is a huge plus.

Greetings; I have a Vamo, and I would say look closely at the SVD (I bought an SVD recently, but still haven't received it). The Vamo does a decent vape, but the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. When I got my V3, I had to have it replaced a couple days later due to malfunctioning buttons. Three weeks later, and buttons are getting wonky on the replacement.

There's lots of SVD owners on ECF, and I've seen few -- if any -- build quality complaints. People who have them seem to like them a lot.

Regards
Glenn

eDIT; I misread the original thread as 'SVD vs Vamo', rather than 'MVP vs Vamo'. Like the Vamo, the SVD is a tube mod. Like the MVP, it's made by Innokin...best of both worlds?

ok quick question about the MVP 2, does it have some means to tell how much battery power is left in it?

I just wish it had a way to replace a worn out battery when it was worn out, but thats a minor quibble I guess.

for $40 that AND a tank isnt bad at all.

edit: ah did some looking and it does have a battery charge indicator - three LED lights, green, yellow, red...not bad.

I have not purchased a vamo (yet) but I have had a MVP V2 for about a month. I had stepped up from a 1300mAh Vision Spinner, and I can't say enough good things about the MVP. Long battery life, built solid, can be used while charging, vv/vw, cell phone charger, etc. And it is around the same price as other mods that don't come with a battery and the batteries that they use typically doesn't have the lasting power of the MVP. I have every intention of buying more mods and I see an SVD or Vamo in my near future, but it has nothing to do with being dissatisfied with my MVP with a PT2 on top. Yes, it does tell you how much charge is left and will also check coil resistence. Considering that the battery will probably last a year or more and how fast the ecig industry is evolving, it will be a dinousar by then! :)

Sure, push both buttons (the vv/vw) on the side and you will first see the current resistance level, then you will get another set of numbers, 4.2 being fully charged, and downward from there. If you are less than 3.7, your button should be lighting up either yellow or red.

I am looking to upgrade to a mod. I am torn between the itaste mvp and the vamo. My wife says the mvp is ugly, and the replaceable battery would extend the life of the mod, but the passthrough is nice as is the power bank function.
I am looking for opinions from folks who have had either.
Thanks

I own the Vamo V2 and V3. Also own the MVP 2. When the Vamo first came out a year ago it was a GREAT budget buy APV. After 9 months the V2 button is wonky/ misfires. V3 fires great. My ONLY complaint about the Vamo is the quality is very hit and miss. If buying the Vamo it will either:
-run flawlessly for close to a yr
-have issues within the first 2 weeks
-have issues after a couple of months
I was one of the lucky ones.
MVP 2 although less power than the Vamo seems to be of higher build quality.

i have the mpv v2 and i is great.I can check the coils i build with the ohms meter it has a battery life indicator vapes between 6 and 11 watt and between 3.3 and 5 volts has a puff counter, is built like a tank. I have dropped mine a few times and although smashed the pro tanks topping it still works flawlessly all in all a good mod that said you will probably end up with a couple of mods eventually i know i have and only been vaping for about 7 weeks its a new type of addiction i want all shiny looking stuff i can get at the moment
forgot it has a passthrough option and can charge your phone!

I just got a Vamo and enjoy it very much. I bought it from OKC Vapes with the upgrade, which includes 2 Kanger Protanks, charger, and a 20 ml Mr-E-Juice for about 110 usd. It also came with 4 18350 800mAh batteries that are nice because unlike the mvp you will never have to use something else while charging. It also has several safety features and you can check the atty resistance with no fears of short circuiting. But alas, I have never tried the mvp. btw, each protank came with a spare head replacement. Good luck!
