Hello fellow vapers
I am trying to put together a small dripping setup just for experiment i already have a mvp 2.0 and im looking for a single coil rba for under 15$ (tight budget) i like the igo l so thats my top choice so far i was wondering whats the best coil build for a newbie setup like this

I would prefer a 28g build just let me know :)

I was just looking for good vapor production and great flavor (don't we all)
Thanks again :))

a single hurricane coil at 1.2 ohms at full air on a Caterpillar works wonders on an MVP at 4.2 volts. Hurricane coils are like Stovetops but with flat ribbon Kanthal.

Edit: forgot to say that you can pick up a SmokTech Caterpillar for around $11 and it is a 3 post RDA.

Awsome is the catipillar ajustable airflow i will give it a look!

I like the Phoenix v10, I think it was 16 after taxes at a local B&M. Great choice for airflow, nice vapor production, and great flavor. Easy to learn on and can go dual coil if you decide to later, I use it almost strictly single though. As far as your coil you have many options. Most like micro coils. Easy to learn to build and big enough to play with, as you will need to learn to take out overlaps and gaps for a good firing long lasting coil. I prefer cotton as a wick, it's cheap easy to work with and gives a clean flavor. You can play with how you wick it and eventually you will learn different styles for the juice you are dripping. Current playing with an upholstery needle building 1.2 ohm coils with wick through and cloud under and open air all around the coil. 50/50 wicks awesome in it, superior flavor and good vapor. Straight vg tends to now wick with this setup as well.

My suggestion would be to go to fasttech website and type in Rebuildable Atomizer - great single site to see various RDAs/RTAs.

Then youtube the ones of interest and buy wherever - Interent/ebay/local/fasttech/etc.

I get great flavor and good vapor with simple 1.5 ohm range micro-coil - 28 gauge kanthal - 12 wraps 5/64th drill bit with peaches and cream cotton rope (walmart) wicking. Vape in 8 to 10 watt range depending on juice/build/RDA, using MVP 2.

I mostly use this coil type in all of my RDAs and all perform well: IGO-Ls/Ws, Nimbus, patriot, magma, origen clones from fasttech or ebay.

The IGO-L was my first RDA and still a good performer today - inexpensive way to get started $6-7 fast tech/$10-11 on ebay.

I did drilled out the air hole on the IGO-L to 1/16th inch for better air flow for me.

Position of coil and airflow is a significant factor in temperature of vapor and density (lower cooler vape) - at least in my experience it has been - your results my vary. Make sure top cap air hole is lined up with coil.

Rip Trippers on youtube has videos with this identical build - it is where I learned to do same. 28 gauge is a thicker wire/easier to wrap and this coil will last maybe forever. Just pulse fire coil without wick to clean.

28 gauge is a good overall, in the middle gauge - IMO. Other gauges 24/26/30/32 also have their place - nice to have a few if practical for you. I have rebuilt everything from EVODs to RDAs/RTAs using 28 gauge with good results.

Enjoy the rebuild adventure - lots of fun - and yes I am a Dripper 99% of the time.

WallyWorld sells it. Like 3 bucks for a couple lifetimes supply.

Nothing wrong with the IGO L. I like mine. The good thing about coil builds is you can make more than one. If you have silica and wire, just do a single coil wrap (hand wrap it) (I use I think a 5/4 (32 K-1) over 3mm silica - Ohms out to around 1.8). Test the ohms on your MVP. Re wrap if needed. My wraps won't win an picture contest, but I don't wrap them for pictures. Line the hole on the top cap up to the coil. Use heavy VG and it is very good. You can always wrap another one and test different wraps. This will at least get you started. It works for me. Plenty vapor and taste.

Be careful when screwing it on to the MVP. You don't want to push the MVP positive pin. Innokin is horrible with their pins.
