My MVP has never played nice with Kanger stuff. Everything else works fine. But my EVODs ... I think two of the eight or so I have actually connect.

Same thing. Pull the bottom of the coil on the tank down just a smidge. Make sure you are only screwing on the tanks till they connect. If you overtighten them, either the battery pin on the MVP will keep getting pushed down or the coil will keep getting pushed up.

I'v had my precious pink mvp2.0 shine for about a month now, and suddenly, today, its not recognizing that my kanger mini protank 2 is screwed onto it. I've cleaned the connections, made sure its charged, turned it off and on again...

Any ideas?

'Yep, it is a design defect in the MVP2. It has to do with the center pin.

You have two options.

1) Get a mini flathead screwdriver, and pull up the center pin everytime you want to put on a new device that isnt reading

2) Get a 510 to 510adapter. Keep it on at all times, and you wont have any issues anymore

is there a permanent fix for this?

I've heard of people fitting a small o-ring under the pin on an MVP2. Don't ask me how they do it, I just have read that you can. I simply take a paperclip, toothpick, micro screwdriver, etc... to gently wiggle against the pin all the way around it. Works everytime I've ever had connection problems. Just Be Gentle! I've heard of someone prying a little to hard and popping the pin right out.

It's a common problem, and not a new one. On many devices, the center/positive contact post on either or both of the connector halves gets pushed in a bit or doesn't protrude far enough to make electrical contact.

Instead of messing with that center pin, I finally got some circuit board spacers--sold by MadVape--that work much better and are much more elegant. And require no tinkering. Just drop one onto the center pin of your battery's 510 post and it will ensure proper contact with any atomizer you screw onto it!

Circuit Board Spacer

I have an MVP 2 that wouldn't play nice with certain toppers and those spacers solved the problem. Madvapes has a coupon code: ECF5OFF.

Doubt it is a defect since many different mods have the same issue with Kanger Coils. The Kanger design is flawed. The center pins are to shallow on Kanger coils and often have to be slightly pulled to contact the mod center pin.

Also it is very common for newer vapors to over tighten their tanks and force the battery center pin down. Simple fix is to raise the pin ans stop over tightening.

Awesome! In my cart now. No more pulling up hubbies battery pins!

Thanks for that. I'm confused as to what it is though; by the looks of it it's ... a washer?

Or maybe there is metal in the middle? The picture isn't clear whether there is metal in the middle- it looks like a space in the middle like a washer, but I guess there must be metal in the middle?

Circuit Board Spacer. This is a circuit board that is approximately 6.2mm in diameter by .25 mm thick. It fits nicely into a 510 connector and may be able to be used by some of you to alter your mods and connectors to adjust airflow or fix connectivity issues with deeply set center posts. Fits 510, 808, 901 and other similarly sized batteries or atomizers. Price is per board and there is no warranty on this item.
