I would go without my phone before my APV. That is a worthless feature in an APV!! Sounds like something an Apple fanboy would need to have...

Yes because only 'Apple fanboys' find themselves in situations where they need an emergency charge.

Many people, even heavier vapers get 2-3 days out of an mvp charge.

Newest iphone is supposedly ~1450mah, the MVP 2 is 2600 mah, you do the math.

I plugged my phone into it once to drain the battery on the MVP. Didn't charge at lightning speed but it got my phone from 30% to 80% in time for the MVP to shut down. That was holding a 3.9V charge when I plugged in.
I suppose the ability for an emergency charge would be a handy feature, but I don't make a habit out of carrying my charging cable with me either, sooooooo....

That is what I was thinking too. I don't carry a cable but, it would be easier than carrying a cable and plug... hmmmmm, I could see in emergency situations... "Power Outages at the house?" Fanboy that! Your apple would be dead while my phone was charged enough to call a friend to locate power to charge my MPV. LOL

I honestly can't think of any normal situations I'd be in where I wasn't within a few yards of a wall wart or a car charger. I'm not going to outright say it's a useless feature, but at least for me it's sort of unnecessary.

I may change my tune, however, if I'm out in the woods with my MVP and my cell phone when the Zombie Apocalypse hits. :D

A 3 dollar usb to cigarette lighter adapter and a generic usb to micro usb cable solves that problem cheaply....

Yes; better to be set up to run off your car battery- even vape off your car battery, than be set up to rely on your MVP battery.
Your car battery can charge your MVP, but your MVP can't start your car.

Yes it's a nice to have, but what would be actually useful is if you could plug in the MVP without a battery and it still works. Batteries do fail eventually. But from what I've read it wont work without the battery.

At dinner one night after teaching a motorcycle class all day with the wife, her cell phone is on it's last legs. Got a little bit of a charge in between class and the restaurant. I grab the Lightning cable out of the car and charge her phone with my MVP 1.0 while we're eating dinner, and she's able to continue the stream of texts setting up a birthday party for the granddaughter.

Would I do it again?

Hell yeah, but with the MVP 2.0 that was a direct result of that evening. :D

To me, the charging feature is useless. I wish Innokin had simply left it off. I mean, how many other PVs out there that think the freature is such a good idea and have included it?

it is more like a cheap easy thing to include than a 'feature' that cost much to add on.

I heard a rumor they're working on that feature for the MVP5. :p

I am "blessed" to have an android phone that has a tendency to discharge quite a bit when using it to play games and listen to music.

The MVP2 is perfect to take on a plane. I can use the MVP 2 during the flight to charge my phone so that I don't have a dead phone at my destination, then I can plug the MVP2 into the rental car and vape while I charge. I won't be chain vaping on the plane, so It can power my phone and still allow me to stealth vape in the bathroom when I need to.

I for one like this feature so much, that I'm selling the external battery I bought for my phone. Now my MVP2 does both.

Not a deal breaker, but it definitely is nice to harness that power in a pinch when I know I will be at a charging station later that day.

If you think about it, who has owned a swiss army knife and used ALL of the features. Just like my Benz's, the little button that puts the headrest down in the back seat. Do I need it? No... but it is cool to have just in case. :D

It's not a game-changing or "killer" feature, but it is very nice to have available if you need it.

I use it every night to charge both my MVP 2.0 and my iTaste VV 3.0 from a single outlet -- MVP 2.0 gets plugged into the wall, and I use the nifty little retractable USB-micro USB cable that came with the VV 3.0.

And even though I've only had my MVP 2.0 for a couple of weeks, I've already used the USB power output to charge my phone, which was about to die because I had forgotten to charge it the night before.

So no, there aren't many situations where the USB power output on the iTaste MVP is absolutely needed, but in those few times it is a lifesaver.

Innokin had a great idea to include this feature in their MVP. Even without it, the MVP 2.0 is worth every penny, but the USB power output just makes an already exceptional APV even more special.

LOL. Funny this came up. I was Christmas shopping with my wife the other day and I ducked into the pub for a quick cold one. I was sitting at the bar and the lady next to me asks her husband for his cell phone to call someone. He replied that his battery was dead. She starts telling him how important it is that they make that call as soon as possible when his food arrived. He was obviously annoyed that he would have to hurry his meal up. I volunteered that I had a battery pack on me, and that they could borrow it to power their phone. It worked great. They made their call, and bought me a beer in thanks. It was even funnier when I explained to them that they had just borrowed my eCig to make a phone call... That "useless" feature earned $5 for itself. 7 more times like that, and I will have a mod that paid for itself. :)
