It's not a game-changing or "killer" feature, but it is very nice to have available if you need it.
I use it every night to charge both my MVP 2.0 and my iTaste VV 3.0 from a single outlet -- MVP 2.0 gets plugged into the wall, and I use the nifty little retractable USB-micro USB cable that came with the VV 3.0.
And even though I've only had my MVP 2.0 for a couple of weeks, I've already used the USB power output to charge my phone, which was about to die because I had forgotten to charge it the night before.
So no, there aren't any situations where the USB power output on the iTaste MVP is absolutely needed, but in those few times it is a lifesaver.
innokin had a great idea to include this feature in their MVP. Even without it, the MVP 2.0 is worth every penny, but the USB power output just makes an already exceptional APV even more special.
LOL. Funny this came up. I was Christmas shopping with my wife the other day and I ducked into the pub for a quick cold one. I was sitting at the bar and the lady next to me asks her husband for his cell phone to call someone. He replied that his battery was dead. She starts telling him how important it is that they make that call as soon as possible when his food arrived. He was obviously annoyed that he would have to hurry his meal up. I volunteered that I had a battery pack on me, and that they could borrow it to power their phone. It worked great. They made their call, and bought me a beer in thanks. It was even funnier when I explained to them that they had just borrowed my ecig to make a phone call... That "useless" feature earned $5 for itself. 7 more times like that, and I will have a mod that paid for itself.![]()
Great stories, both of you.....I like the idea of charging my itaste vv3 off of my MVP while it's charging. I currently use the MVP2 for my at home vape and my vv3 as my out of the house vape. Since the vv3 also has auto shutoff, it won't continue to drain the MVP2 after it's topped off.
Not bad for such a "useless" feature.
