good morning every1... thank goodness for free wifi at DD.. Thanks to every1 for the offers of help. I am ok . Was weird going to unemployment office today, I have never been unemployed since a graduated from high school in 1990. The only thing that bothers me is the chief could have told me a month ago about possible layoff so I could have started job searching, I mean after all I do have 3 kids 2 in college .. Hope every1 is having a good morning I will be logging in when ever I can..be well

I'm so glad to hear you are doing ok. It's unfortunate but sometimes your direct supervisor/manager has their hands tied. I went through 3 different rounds of layoffs when I was working for a major Savings & Loan. On the first round the corporate big wigs came to our branch and told us all that there were rumors flying around about lay offs and they wanted to assure us there was no need to worry, to quit freaking out because our jobs were safe. Then about two weeks later they came and pulled me and three co-workers aside and told us that everyone in the office but us would be laid off that day but go back to your desks and don't tell anyone. I was supposed to go back and sit in the same office with my fellow underwriter, who was also a very good friend of mine, and lie to his face. That was very unfair of them to ask of us in my opinion.
