Aw, that is really too bad that it cracked! To me, it looks more like a stress fracture, rather than a juice reaction. I've had juice reactions in clearos and they usually don't stop with a small crack like that at the connection.... I am definitely not an expert, though!

Exactly, Snus. I'm positive it has nothing to do with the juice. There's a slight chance the wife dropped a pile of Christmas gifts on it... but details are sketchy!

Yes, jj, juice can do bad things to clearos, but these last two clearos I got in a great package deal are doing bad things to my juice! They both taste the same but one is chocolate and the other strawberry! Sheesh! I think I forgot how much I don't really like clearos! :-(

I'm not sure how or why it cracked. I have a butter rum / Peppermint DIY in there right now... but it looks more like a compression fracture than anything else. There is no other indication of degradation. I may have just screwed the end caps on too tight after the last cleaning... Like I said though, it isn't leaking... so I'm sure I can finish the tank!

Maybe it's not? Just in case, check this list, I just noticed Rum on the list too so that might have something to do with it if you aren't 100% sure.

I agree with Snus's thoughts above though, it doesn't look like a normal crack caused by juices, usually those are in multiples and fractured too, at least the ones I've seen pics of posted here.
