I have been looking for small bottles with child resistant lids and have not found them. They seem to be only for large ml bottles. If anyone knows of a source for them please post it. This really is a concern! TIA

For this, you can just drop your whole small bottle into a childproof medicine bottle. IMO this is more secure than a childproof cap with a rubber dropper that can be pulled/chewed out. That is what we do when someone opts for childproofing. The pharmacies do that with things like Rx eyedrops, too.

The first (though surely not the only) vendor that comes to mind is EliquidPlanet. They have the 10ml bottles and all have the YNDK lids with child resistant caps.

Exactly what i was thinking :(

We do not need fuel to the fire!!

True, negative press is not what we need for sure, but kids have been getting into things they shouldn't since the dawn of time. If I had kids, I'd leave the all of the ecig implements in a locked box and only carry the ecig I was using that day.

...luckily it didn't end up in her mouth. It was left on my desk with the lid on it, but she's good with bottle caps. We spent half of the day watching her for nicotine toxicity, terrified.

I implore anyone who makes juice to PLEASE use bottles with child safety lids. I have no illusions that this was my fault, but even non-idiots make mistakes, and this one could have killed my little girl. I would gladly pay an extra dollar per bottle to cover the extra cost.

If not for people's peace of mind, do it for business. One poisoned child and (FDA or not), e cigs are dead.

I've thrown out the offending bottle (again, not blaming anyone but myself), but I think I'm going to stick with pre-filled carts for a while.
you sound like a good father.....

At walmart in the photo department, I saw a really neat thing for keeping liquid safe. It is a box for video cameras/camera equipment. They have small ones and big ones. They are heavy duty and have a built in combination lock.

i'll do you one better, check Office Depot, i got one of those cheaper than wally world!! (for that size).

i believe for once, Office Depot does have better prices on similar Vaultz brand lock boxes.

so yes, everyone, get a darn lock box for your juices and equipment and keep it away from pets and kids.

I implore everyone with children to act responsibly. I don't blame the two year old at all. I blame the parent. Your kid could easily have eaten an analog and gotten very ill. Treat your liquid like what it is, and keep it away from children. Childproof products don't insure anything except false security and lull parents into complacency.

We aren't responsible for your kid. You are.

For those who say a child that age needs to be watched every single second, I absolutely agree. However, we are all human, and it is amazing how quickly those little demons can move when you turn your back for a second. :p

And for those who note we have tons of caustic, toxic chemicals in our homes, true enough. However, bleach doesn't smell good and probably isn't nearly as tempting to taste as Peace Cobbler e-liquid. Let's face it . . . most of the stuff we vape smells good.

Fortunately, I'm past the little one stage. My 16 year old and 20 year old aren't all that interested in my e-liquids. :) However, I do have a young nephew (4) whom I watch from time to time, and when he comes, all my stuff gets put into a box and then put on the highest shelf in my study, a room in the basement where no kids are allowed . . . and then I watch him like a hawk.

If I had a little one underfoot, I'd be locking up my supply in one of those lock-boxes folks have posted about. For the liquid I would be using at that particular moment, the bottle itself would be placed in a large, child-proof pill container. I went to my pharmacy and asked to buy a large container--he found out what I wanted it for and gave it to me for free. :) It's such a pain, though, that I only use it when my nephew is around.

I think it'd be great if suppliers offered child-proof packaging as an option for those who wish to pay more. Frankly, I'm not interested in having child-proof containers for all of my e-liquids. Too much of a hassle. But if I had a little one, I'd want it and, like the OP, I'd be willing to pay for it.

We need to take responsibility for our own actions not put the onus on suppliers, in all things not just vaping.

Whilst we do underestimate the amazing feats our offspring manage there must be a shelf or cupboard high enough in the house that ensures that they are out of reach.

My 7 year old is under no illusions, she knows if she touches my vaping kit she'll not be sitting down for a while.

wow, scary stuff, glad everything is ok, I was wondering though, do you smoke your ecig in front of your daughter, I have a 6mo, and i never smoked analogs around her ( i actually went to quite extensive lengths to ensure she didn't have to be around or smell it, a futile task of course, but i tried) but ecigs are safe and dont stink, personally i dont vape within her eyeshot, I know it makes me a hypocrite but i dont want her thinking smoking (or vaping) is ok.
